Cleveland beat the NYYankees 22-0 yesterday, the most lop-sided shut out in modern history and the worst beating the Yankees have ever taken in their 101 years of existance. It was said that watching the hit and run numbers on the scoreboard was a lot like watching the reels spin in a slot machine windows ...

Does it matter ?? ... is this an anomaly or are the Yanks on their way down? ... could this be the year the Red Sox pull it off ??

Or ... does anyone care?

I always enjoy a Yankees' loss. It would have been more enjoyable if the Orioles had done it, but this will do for now.

BoSox are now 3 1/2 games out of first! Yankee pitching is really weak and erractic, duh, 22 runs, I guess so!

Angels are going to help the Yankees out a little on Wed and Thur. Just like they helped the Bosox by sweeping the Yanks last month...

The Curse of the Bambino will keep the BoSox from winning the series.

Curse, my asspirin. Like Pedro said "If the Babe was playing baseball today, i'd bean him!"

No such stupid thing as a damn curse. The Red Sox will win one eventually. I just hope I am alive to enjoy it. Hell, the Pats finally did it... twice now.

I'm only 34, so I am holding out hope that it happens in my lifetime...

The curse of the Bambino is real! Superstitons abound in baseball and The curse of the Bambino has jinxed the BoSox since they sold the greatest baseball player ever.....yes I said ever, when you show me somebody who can win 100 games as a pitcher and then hit 714 homeruns, then I will say OK!

The BoSox should win it this year because of Schilling and Martinez with Lowe pitching well now, all you need is three starters for playoffs and series, and Boston has the best all around team, but watch out for Minnesota they are coming on strong with that young team led by a pitcher named Santana, who is a 24 year old version of Pedro Martinez minus the brush back pitch!

Yes, I care very much about the great sport of baseball as Steve S knows!

I told baseball to kiss my culo when the Washington Senators left in 1971 for dubya's hometown.

So long Ted Williams(Mgr), Mike Epstein (1stB), Tim Cullen(2ndB), Eddie Brinkman/Aurelio Ridriguez(SS), Ken McMullen(3rdB), Frank Howard(LF), Del Unser(CF), Hank Allen(RF), Jim French/Paul Casanova(catchers), and a slew of mostly mediocre pitchers!!

Thank you Bob Short(deceased)!!

We've got a guy named Dave who moved to our little Kansas community from NYC a few years ago. He's a Yankee fan, so they call him Yankee Dave.
He's got one of those carved sandstones in his front yard with his name & a Yankee emblem on it. Some months back, someone defaced it with black spray paint.
Yankee Dave was very angry & offered a $1000 reward for the capture & prosecution of the perp, or perps. He also publicly stated on the local radio that the police had better catch them 1st, because if he did he would cut off their hands!
Who says small town living is boring? I have a business relationship with Dave, & he's not a bad guy, so if anyone would by some crazy chance, know him, please don't tell him I posted this story.
Well, I gotta go get rid of some paint cans. See ya.

Dave sounds like the typical Yankee fan: One beer away from State prison.
