Went to the IHOP this AM for my usual meal and when I ordered my eggs over easy I was told that as of 9-1-01 the F.....g FDA will no longer permit eggs to be cooked less than medium. Is this insanity? Has the "protecting the public" excuse reached a point that even the most trivial of personal desires must be controlled by Govt. regulation? Its the same bull...t we were told about smoking cigars in an open stadium. That it would pose a public health risk. What a crock. Gordon

I've heard of this before and have been to restaurants that do this..sometimes you actually have top sign a waiver because if you get salmonella, you can't sue them..Same for rare steaks (not the salmonella part, but the waivers)

What about Steak Tar Tar, does that mean it is a double waiver, with raw ground sirloin and raw eggs included? Too damn much Big Brother Legislation and to stay on the correct board, I am going to smoke a South Beach Robusto for my first cigar of the day! One great cigar, about as good as you can find anywhere! And now the Hummingbird report of the day-Hummingbirds do not eat steak or eggs, but have been known to smoke a small panatela on occassions! Have a good Holiday guys and gals! Charlie

it varies by state. Wear your seat belt, don't smoke in public, cook your burger, don't watch naked women and by god be sure you don't sexually harass or discriminate against anyone
