I think this is one of those cases where it's not a free speech issue. You have a lot of people that would like to have an assembly and discuss a prepared subject. When others want to "crash the party", they are not welcome. Those folks have a right to their own assembly, but I don't feel they have the right to disrupt another group's assembly. You start to create a general feeling of animosity that is a real threat to the peace. Often times such situations turn violent. It's not free speech. It's just disruptive. I believe in the right to free speech, but you have to allow free speech for your opponent.

Seems to me that if her son would have been a little better at defusing the bomb he was working on he would still be alive. And at last check, George W. Bush did not build the bomb.

Well I guess if there is anyone who could judge bad taste it would be you. I think you are the last person that should be judging my post and as you are some commonly seen to post, "what is not true in my statement"?

And, just like the TV you can always choose to ignore if it better suits you.

HEY EVERYONE LOOK AT DRJOTHER'S POST.
This must be the attention you are craving. I can not think of any other reason somebody would post something so cold and devoid of respect for our war dead. Next time you need to have people notice you how about saying something positive.

Attention, you think I need attention? I was not the woman who was not honoring her son by standing outside an appearance by Laura Bush with an insulting T-shirt and carrying on like a lunatic.

I have avoided the political debate on here because everyone is entitled to their opinon. But, as a cousin of a first Gulf War victim who has nothing but the utmost respect for our men and women in uniform it kills me to see a woman totally dishonor her own son. You can disagree with the war but the fact is that George Bush did not kill her son anymore than you did.

Now, my remarks may have been harsh but I would be curious what her own son would say about her actions.

I said what I said and it was my opinion. Just like you are free to state yours. But to say that I am craving attention is just assinine. Attack my opinion if you like but you know nothing about me personally and I can assure you that I get all the attention I need from those whom it matters.

Let the women mourn the way she feel she needs to. Her son died for her to have that right. Until you have walked in her shoes don't belittle her thank her for her sacrifice.

She has the right to freedom of speech. It is her constitutional right. Accusing Bush of killing her son without an explanation, on the other hand could be a legal matter. Who knows? It isn't really slander, but it is a false accusation. BUT, she does have the right of freedom of speech. Her son died protecting that right.

Yes, some of the replies were rather tasteless. Our fallen Warriors deserve more respect than that. Remember, while we're all at home playing armchair general, these brave Warriors are laying it all on the line. Many are paying th Ultimate Price. More than I can say for many of us here.

Rickamaven has posted some extremely tasteless things in the past (like the 9/11 pic with falling bodies superimposed with G W Bush), but overall, politics removed, is a good guy. He'll never refuse you a request and will always admit when he's wrong (GW Bush excluded).

Let's just agree to disagree.

She got what she deserved. They handcuffed her ass and took her to jail. There is a time and place for everything and that wasn't it.

Right,
Her shirt is covered under freedom of speech. If you want to make a slander case out of it that would be a civil issue. I have not seen anyone walked out in cuffs on a civil case. I admit I would not have done what she did but I did not have a son get killed either.

Just about everyone who has posted about politics has posted comments/pics in bad taste. It just depends on which side of the fence you're standing as to what is in bad taste. X
