Given a deadline... OK lets stretch out a bit here...

I've spent days catching headlines from all sides.. reading reading reading... what to do in Iraq... the sky is falling crap from all around... the plan in Iraq is coming apart...

Never in the history of the world have we fought an Opponent as ruthless as these insurgents have been... allot of people see the news and view it as wanting a total pull out... These People and their Nature... for one.. anyone with the bigger club is the leader... this has been bread in them from the beginning of time... We Still have Iran and Syria in this region to deal with... and then there is North Korea on another patch of land distant to the actions in the middle east who also need their pee pees whacked....

What if Hypothetically we gave all these Insurgents and Iraqis who cannot stand Infidels a deadline?
If they don't lay down their weapons and start working for a better sovern reason for self governing rule... we the Coalition at hand are going to show no mercy.. starting with Air Strikes on areas known to harbor these types of people who resist... we'll pull our troops out... keep the airbases in the region and heavily fortify these area's and just start pumping iron on the bad guys... when insurgents are suspected to be coming in from the boarder regions we just let them have it... Like Boarder Patrol with no boundaries....

would the American people back home be screaming Blood Bath??? you cannot have your Cake and Eat it too!!!!

I seem to recall another group of insurgents in a small patch of SE Asian jungle that gave us alot more than 1000 body bags..

bullwinkle... I'm not talking about the actual combat confrontations in Iraq compared with Vietnam... I'm talking about the slaughter of civilian lives here..

but yes you are right in away...

Ok, gotcha...I misunderstood.....While the Vietnamese Communists were responsible for a lot of noncombatant deaths, I don't think their numbers would come anywhere near the numbers caused by Sadaam, his regime, and his post-regime following..
