Nothing said so far that hasn't been said on either candidates campaign trail. Hope it gets better, I gave up a Brady bunch marathon to watch the debate.

Well I managed to pick up some insight on North Korea, other than that it was pretty much old campaign rhetoric.

If I had to pick a winner tonight I would have to go with Ralph Nader for staying out of the debate.

What a battle! The pontificator vs. the smirker.
Can't wait for the next one!

Yeah this was a stunner. Bush pounded his theme that we were doing the right thing and Kerry pounded his theme that we weren't. Your 'winner' pretty much depends on your point of view. I'll be more interested in the economy debate. That should be interesting. I want to see if Bush has some real answers or if he continues to say 'things aren't that bad and they're getting better' which has been the party line for at least a year - and if Kerry actually has some concrete ideas of his own or will just keep saying Bush isn't doing the right things. I am still leaning toward a write-in for McCain or refusing to vote for either of these knuckleheads in protest.

i forgot to say why.

a lifetime of dealing with people gives me the confidence to make a judgement about whether or not to take someone's check.

Who won depends on who you were going to vote for anyway. Neiter candidate said or did anything spectacular. Sonny thought that Kerry won. I thought that Bush won.

It really did not mean anything.

I watched a little of the debate and a little of the analysis after.

A professor from Washington University gave it to Bush while the folks on CBS gave it to Kerry.

I watched over 90% of it. Pretty much the ssdd. I must say that Kerry just rubs me the wrong way. I analyzed his choice of words and the way he tried to pluck the listeners emotional strings. He made many[adolescent] jabs at the President's performance record while trying to invoke the listeners feelings of pain and anger. Didn't work on me. And his choice of the word "think" didn't help. You don't want a person that "thinks they can do a better job". You want a person that "believes they can do a better job." Kerry is to wishy washy and flippy floppy. (Did the splitscreen view of the two as they debated remind anybody else of Jerry Springers show? I half expected it to turn into a brawling shouting match.)

Kerry blew more wind and really never said anything, while GWB said the same thing over and over......SSDD!

CBS, do they have any credibility in this one?? hell it wouldn't have had to been a professor sided against CBS.... they could have used a perverted chicken farmer and everybody would take his word above CBS's ;0)

as so many people have said, this debate was won by the candidate of choice they had going in, so my particular take is as significant or insignificant as any one else's.

never having listened to kerry, because, as i said before i didn't care who or what, my vote was ATBB,
i was pleasantly surprised to hear that kerry speaks english. if his vice presidential runing mate, what's his name, does also, that will be a good team.

iraq, korea, iran, and all those places, soldiers dying, wmd's, and i forgot the president never once used the word nuclear, something about a pronunciation problem, winning the peace, winning the war, coalition of many or few, should have, could have, would have, are, unless you have a loved one either dead, wonded, or soon to be, nebulas ideas. something to ponder perhaps, while waiting for your coffee or latte, at starbucks. if you are not personally affected, it means nothing to your psyche, so who really cares who said what to who and said it better.

however, he exclaimed to capture the reader's attention, the next debate, not using quotation marks because this is as real as a debate will get in politics, is going to be about the local stuff, jobs and the economy. this is the stuff we care about, and one of these suckers, opps, almost hit the f, fruedian slip i suspect, better have something to say about getting me a job before i lose the house. incidents of wife beating have been rising because the male animal is frustrated about not being able to earn and support the female animal, so he hits her out of his frustration.

the couple of hundred bucks i put aside in my stock folder to take care of me when i get old, won't pay for a bullet for me to kill myself because i am broke. who is going to fix that. i don't give a crap who the culprit is, clinton, who they say started the decline, or bush who continued it, or my aunt from kentucky, i want it fixed.

i want the market to go up so i can retire and not work until i drop. i want a job that pays me enough to put aside a drop for a future i hope to have.

if i have to buy my meds from mexico or canada because the same stuff is cheaper there, don't BS me that the canadians or mexicans can't deliver the same stuff in the same bottles that the guy at rexall does. i can't afford a $2.00 a day pill and if i can buy it from siera leone, wherever the hell that is, in the same bottle, by the same drug company for a quarter, thst's where i am going to buy it. what are you guys going to do to fix that.

my son-in-law got layed off a year ago, can't get a job, except wrapping hamburgers, and doesn't have any insurance. my daughter is going to have a problem delivery in 4 months, and they don't have insurance.
i can help a little, but one of you guys better have a way to fix this real soon.

i don't have any kids in school, but they tell me the kids nowadays can't read very well. ok, mr candidates, what are you going to do.

i'll be paying a lot of attention next week, so somebody better have something good to say, or screw it, i ain't missing any tv just to go out and vote for
another clown like i did last time.

if they don't give a **** about me, to hell with them.

By lying to get us into a war that has no foundation in fact? By throwing out all the restrictions on mountain top mining so they can dump just any **** in our waters? Is this the way our great leader is "serving his country?
Oh, yeah. Let's have another 4 years of that kind of crap.

Or maybe because it's irrelevant and petty to use that nonsense as your only qualification as a leader (Kerry).

Kerry was by far the more relaxed, confident, and articulate speaker, but then aren't most used car salesmen, too?
