i believe when you reach the age of scalia and i, and you recognize your mortality, you either mellow out and stop taking yourself seriously or you begin to think you have some innate insight into the human psyche.
if you pull back and observe the universe, you find our individual influences affect very little in the course of the cosmos. we like to think we make so much difference, when in fact we really don't. the best one can hope for is to make life a little more pleasent for the ones we care about, enjoy the good feelings that the protoplasm we call our body is capable of feeling, and stop thinking about your own importance.
sscalia thinks he knows things, while i, not with standing all the hard ass posts i paste, and my apparent absolute conviction of what is good or bad, right or wrong, take myself less seriously then it appears.
im just passing through. the party is not about me.
