By a staggering margin of 4 to 1, U.S. military personnel have rejected the presidential candidacy of Sen. John Kerry, a new survey by Army Times magazine shows.

With 4,000 full-time and part-time troops responding, a full 73 percent said they would vote for President Bush if the election were held today, reports USA Today, a sister publication of Army Times.

That gives Kerry about 25% more than I thought he would get from Military!

Makes me wonder if all the polls we read include the military vote...

the only thing more inaccurate then most polls are military pools.

several years ago we had a military man posting things tha were anti andministration. at his request he asked for all his posts to be removed because he suspected his opinions would hurt his career.

the military will speak for bush in an open forum because they are to intimidated to say anything
negative about their commander in chief.

in private things are different as evidenced in various articles by newsman who write what they hear from anonomous military personel.

the othr source never polled are cell phone users, the vast majority of whom are the 18 to 25 year old group.
since they are not polled, i can only hope they are mostly anti bush and pro kerry, either because they have made a conscience decision or they just like new things, new heros, anything new.

i know you rabid bush fans don't believe any of this, but who cares, you don't believe anything that doesn't fit the party profile.

it will soon be time to let clinton go and start trashing kerry and his wife, who has the ability to form thoughts and express them.

I used to swim in military pools.

I have met very few AD who are voting for Kerry.

WHy do you have to lump all who will vote for Bush as Republicans?

Interesting ... Newsman as in like CBS Dan Rather? and the liberal likes of others??

Yea Rick your going to have some in the military who don't like their job and don't like doing what their doing and B!tch allot... point me out to a job/work area that doesn't?

I would go as far as to say probably 90% of the military voters will vote for Bush in November and thats being modest... the % is probably higher...

I am an independent & I vote for the man....not the party.

I am voting for George Dubya.

I am very pleased to say that most of the under 30 folks that I run into tell me they are voting for George.

For what it's worth.....the Bush bubble gum cigars at the local video store are out selling the Kerry cigars 2 or 3 to 1. :)

I used to swim in some military pools as well, lets see NAS Roosevelt Roads Puerto Rico, NAS Jacksonville Fla, NAS Cecil Field, and a few others as well! They were all pretty accurate as far as pool water goes, so Rick, what is your latest point regarding Military Pools?

Rick, I never felt the need to edit myself when voicing anti-administation opinions when Slick Willie was in office! For all his shortcomings, I feel better about working for Bush, because he's not demanding the resiginations of senior military members for "fraternizing" with subordinates while experimenting with flavored cigars in his office! I've seen Bush board Marine 1 and then get out because he forgot to salute the Marine guarding it (which he was not even required to do!) I can respect a man who respects me. Might I get sent to a combat zone, maybe. Might my ship be bombed, and I be killed? Maybe. That goes with the job. A cop could get shot by a crackhead, a burning building may collapse on a firefighter, that's not the fault of the mayor or the chief of police. Why did Bush decide to go into Iraq? Well, just maybe, the man sitting in the Oval Office for eight years before him knew it needed to be done, SAID it needed to be done, and NEVER did it! On the side of the island of the USS Nassau LHA-4, there's a big sign painted...

WHY ARE WE HERE?
(I don't remember all the exact names and figures but you'll get the idea)
1983 Marine Barracks-Beirut- 284
1988 PanAm Flight 103(?) Lockerbie Scotland 187
1999 US Embassies in Kenya and ???? 237
2001 World Trade Center,Pentagon, United Airlines flight 93 3000+

there's several others, but they omitted Khobar towers, the USS Samuel B. Roberts, the USS Cole, and the FIRST WTC bombing!

If you beleive that there was no connection between Saddam and Al Queda, I have a box of Lusitania Cigars that are plainly marked Cuba, and Havana on them I'll sell you at a REAL reasonable price! (they're even pretty good! Made by Perdomo) I think we were more than justified in going into Iraq, I think it's been proven that those members of the international community who derided us for "acting so precipitously" were illegally trading with Iraq under the table in direct violation of UN sanctions, which were a joke because of how corrupt it turns out the "Food for Oil" program was! And THESE are the people who Kerry wants to get approval from before he acts to defend our country! He want to regain THEIR respect!?!?!?

Rick, have you seen your doctor lately?

You forgot to mention: "An unscientific survey of U.S. military personnel shows they support President Bush for re-election by a 4-to-1 ratio." That second word makes the whole thing meaningless in factual terms.

Of course the polls don't include us for two main reasons: (1) The pollsters are errand-boys for the liberal media who want statistical confirmation of their own bias and (2)Those of us who proudly wear the uniform are busy..leave a message, we'll get back to you when the job's done.

A big huuuuhah!

We support the troops and do not second guess the military like the "great" team of Kerry/Edwards!
