Get with the program! With ANY luck these "guys" might stop surrendering like the other wars they've been a part of!

it is said that when the Germans ordered Jews in occupied Denmark to identify themselves by wearing armbands with yellow stars, King Christian X of Denmark and non-Jewish Danes thwarted the order by donning the armbands themselves. A popular version of the legend has King Christian sporting an armband as he makes his daily morning horseback ride through the streets of Copenhagen, explaining to citizens that he wears the Star of David as a demonstration of the principal that all Danes are equal. And non-Jewish Danes respond to their king's example by wearing the armband as well, thus preventing the Germans from identifying Jewish citizens and rendering the order ineffective.

It is also said that the French are cowards and run from confrontation.

I found your "legend" off topic. The Danes were and have been able to dupe royalty and Nazis. The French bend over like a cheap hooker when it comes to military might.

The article posted is yet another in a very long line of French boasts to the world that they are a "force" to be reckoned with, when in fact the entire globe has passed them like a house by the side of the road. They can proclaim anything they want, but smart people know their words ring as hollow as their actions.

Thanks for the post. I think Israel should forget about France. Apology NOT accepted.

My great aunt and uncle barely made it to the USA. Before they fled France... the French citizens were running from house to house pointing out all the Jews to the SS. They couldn't get to them fast enough. As soon as a jewish household was vacated...it was immediately looted clean. There was no protection. It was rare to find a safe place if their neighbors knew someone was a Jew.

Not much has changed over the years. They still grab their ankles at the first sign of a threat.
