Did anyone else read Barton Gellman's article in the Washington Post? In 1996 the Sudan had offered, to the CIA and Clinton, to arrest Bin Laden for plotting a terrorist attack in Yemen and other charges and hand him over to the Saudi's. Unfortunately, the Clinton administration was unable to cut through the red tape involved in dealing with the Middle East. I am not blaming the Clinton administration for not having Bin Laden detained, because we all know the Middle East is a very volatile place. But, do you think that if Clinton would have had better foriegn policy skills, thing's would have been different? The King of Saudi Arabia would have probably had him beheaded; they owe us that much for the Gulf War.
