let me clarify and simplify something that some fool suggested a year or so
ago, and has been repeated over and over again by other fools.

even though the men and women of our military don't need it from me, i respect and honor all of
those who risk their lives for my safety and my country's safety.

i have never suggested anything less.

the idea of my not respecting our troops is a lie that has been posted and echoed over and over
by the simpletons that read it and repeat it.

it was not true, it is not true. it will never be true.

i have watched young men and women sent into battle unprotected and i have read about the
cutbacks to these men and women, in terms of medical attention, pay, and other benifits, by this
administration that has given lip service to these troops.

there are badly wounded in hospitals who are not getting proper treatment because of these
cutbacks. there are veterans of this and prior wars who have been been eliminated from the
benifits the va used to afford because of "lack of funds." these are not people looking for a hand
out, they are looking for what they have earned.

Rick,

I for one disagree with your sentament to blame this administration... it is easy to say it's Bush's fault and then toss up some bogus **** on a website or news article...

I am one of those wounded warriors who have lost all rights to VA benefits.. Bush didn't do this to me... my Own damn Command did this to me.. this will be determend in a court of law... I will eventually get my rights back to me...

But I will tell you this.. the other opponent against Bush.. I'm not even going to mention the slimes name.. was and has been the reason our troops had been and ever will be shorted anything for the past 1.5 years I've done my homework and pulled up the defense bills and all the attached BS trailers along with anything military related to see what/why and who is responsible... I'm going to post something here shortly another thread relating to the Gulf War Syndrom...

Clinton and his 8 yrs in office devistated our Military with his cut backs and anything he and his administration could do to cut it he did!!!!!! his cronies were still rank and file through the Bush administration and these Senators who are suppose to be for the people of the people are NOT what they were elected for... Look at the turnout in District of Columbia alone ;0) surprising?? not one bit

All I am going to say is your Bitterness needs Better Education!!!

Rick, I have never doubted your feelings regarding the troops themselves ... I have a pretty good handle on your attitude about them ...

BUT ... you really do need to know that their "lack of support" has NOTHING to do with the current administration ... the erstwhile Demo candidate for the presidency has a track record of voting no less than 100% AGAINST military funding ... he NEVER has cast a single vote in favor of a single 1ยข for miltary support and there have been far too many others like him, in the Demo party ... particularly as Hog says, during the Clinton cutback years, their votes are the reasons for the lack of support the military gets ...

I've seen this issue up close and personal in the case of my son who served in Naval Special Forces ... I KNOW the facts and they are the basis for my opinion, NOT blather in the media ...

Let me say something about some "OLD FOOL" who said recently about how he respects our men and women in the military, yet he keeps posting pictures of coffins and our dead warriors faces for one purpose and one pupose only and that purpose is to belittle our President George W. Bush. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me (ain't gonna happen), you " OLD FOOL".

I voted Bush... but he continues to piss me off about concurrent receipt.

If you have ANY amount of disability that was caused during your time on active duty, regardless of whether you were in battle or running a friggin' physical readiness test, you deserve the same friggin' payments your civilian counterparts get. Full retirement and Full disability (or whatever percentage you've earned) not one being offset by the other. This is total and complete Bull$h*t and he needs to fix it friggin' yesterday.

And THAT is how I REALLY feel.

Macs I totally agree and until it makes a notice IE: dropped on his desk to get noticed it will remain the same... I do not think all this has ever reached the very top of the chain...

just my .02 cents
