I live 1 1/2 hours North from Vegas, just off I-15.
Ditto to just about everything posted so far.
Reading these posts and thingkin of Vegas just took me back in time a little. I'll dedicate this golden classic to you and yer sweetheart. It's one of my favorites.
It was a night!
Oooh what a night it was;
it really was, such a night.
The moon was abright oh how bright it was;
it really was, such a night.
The night was alive ... with stars above . . .
Oooooooh when she kissed me I had to fall in love.
Ohhhhhh . . . It was a kiss; oooh what a kiss it was;
it really was, such a kiss.
Oh how she could kiss. Oohh what a kiss it was;
it really was, such a kiss.
Just the thought of her lips sets me afire
I reminisce . . . and I’m filled with desire.
But I gave my heart to her, sweet surrender;
how well I remember, I’ll always remember.
Ohhhhhhh what a night!
Oooh what a night it was;
it really was, such a night.
Came the dawn and the height of my love
and the night was gone.
But I’ll never forget-a-the kiss-a-the kiss in the moonlight.
Oooooh such a kiss! Such a night!
It was a night!
Oooh what a night it was;
it really was, such a night.
Came the dawn and my heart and her love
and the night was gone.
But I’ll never forget-a-the kiss-a-the kiss in the moonlight.
How well I remember; I’ll always remember.
It was a night!
Oooh what a night it was;
it really was, such a night.
When we kissed . . . I had to fall in love.
But I gave my heart to her, sweet surrneder;
how well I remember, I’ll always remember.
Oh! What a night
Oooh what a night it was;
it really was, such a night.
When we kissed . . . I had to fall in love.
Well she’s gone, gone, gone.
Yes she’s gone, gone, gone.
And the dawn, dawn, dawn,
and my love was gone.
But before I go,
Yes before I’m gone
And before I’m gone
Oooh; oooh; oooh; ehh
Such a night!
God love 'im, the late great Elvis Presley.
It aint Vegas without Elvis!
Of course I'm thingkin' 'bout my gars here and not my own sweetie (Perish the thought ...) She fixed me coffee the next day.
Do it right in that limo from the airport and have the driver play this Elvis song on your way to (and from) the Hotel.
If you're gonna gamble (don't gamble the first day you're there and by all means set your daily limit to loose for every day you're there), gamble downtown. The minimum bets are cheaper and since you say you're a novice, you don't need to be loosing the minimum bets at the Belicoso . . . I mean the Bellagio, or anywhere else on the strip for that matter while your just trying to adjust to a game.
Another great thing about Vegas is you can smoke in the Restaurants, but only a few allow cigars. You should probably check before-hand if that's what you want to do. Most casinos allow gars at the gaming tables. They just don't like smoke blown in the dealer's face.
Nuff said!!!!
