Let's see, Bush's first Attourney General was someone the Libs said would be the end of civil liberty, John Ashcroft. He brought about the first abuses of the Patriot Act (which was a mistake) and now he's resigned. How does he compare to the liberal choices? Janet Reno, with Ruby Ridge, Waco and the Elian Gonzalez debacle? At least there were no casualty figures for the Gonzalez incident! And the Libs say that under a Republican we have to live in fear of having our doors kicked in?
Lets look at foreign policy. Undwer Klintoon, we sent troops to Kosovo (not even a rumor accurate or otherwise of any threat there!) We put US troops under UN control in Somalia, and got the terrorists of the world used to the idea of impotent counterstrikes which emboldened them to increase the tempo and severity of their attacks. Compare that to Bush, who took us to war based on erroneous intel (Overseen by his recent rivals Kerry and Edwards who BOTH sit on the Senate Intelligence Oversight Committee, but somehow they blame Bush for the intel failure!) But basically carrried out the threats made for eight years by the Klintoon administration, and began to give our foreign policy some credibility. Yes, we lost the respect of some countries. Those countries will not forgive us because we killed the goose that laid the golden egg. They were dealing with Saddam under the table, and were making money hand over fist, and they will never forgive us for bringing all that to an end. How much do you think a criminal respects the cop who arrests him? How much do you think the cop cares? Why SHOULD we give a flying crap about what the French, Germans, or Russians think about our actions to eliminate a perceived threat? What do you think France and Germany would have required to act, knowing that it would have ended the gravy train?
Lets look at treason, and other high crimes. Bush has been accused of dodging the draft, and failing to meet his obligations in the National Guard, Clinton was accused by at least two women of rape, he was impeached over perjury in the investigation of having sex with a subordinate (how come in the military, it doesn't matter if it's two consenting adults?). He also got caugh with his (and Gores) hand in the cookie jar with the Buddhist Temple fundraising scandal, and less than a year from that they agreed to sell China "satellite telemetry technology" to more accurately place their telecom satellites. However the same technology is also used to accurately target ICBM's in reenrty phase, and now th Chicoms can not only hit us, but can accurately target our cities. Why do you Libs insist that Bush is so bad, and make Klintoon out to be ready to be canonized???? And you have the unmitigated GALL to call US delusional?????
