A good friend/co-worker sent me this a little bit ago...
I've passed it on through email but going to post it here also... it's an online Petition Letter to the Senate on the Marine they brought up on charges for the shooting on live TV of the Insurgent...

Just thought I would pass this onto you folks. I received this from our NENA Region III VP. One of our members son, is in Iraq and has been wounded, but is still fighting!!

I don't normally do this, but in his case I am making an exception, the following link is to a website for a petition to the U. S. Congress in support of the unnamed Marine involved in the mosque shooting.

Knowing what he knew and had experienced I know what I would have done.
My son, Eric, is over there and his unit, 2 Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division has been in the thick of it in Fallujah and in the Babil Province. 2/24 so far has lost seven Marines, including LCpl. Branden Ramey of Belvidere. Eric has been wounded once and is still in action. He called from the field Wednesday. His company is going to be out for a while longer.

I attended LCpl. Ramey's memorial service last night and had the occasion to speak with the Regimental Commander. I told him of the petition. He said that it is very encouraging to the troops to know that they have support at home. If you feel it is appropriate I would appreciate this information being forwarded to members of INENA, at
least Region 3.

I am signer number 198,422, and I said he should be awarded a Bronze Star, the man is a hero!

I hate the Politically Correct crap we have to deal with and when it comes to terrorist, all rules should be dropped! What he did was simply shoot someone who made a move that could have been carrying a bomb or grenade.....duh, I thought this was what our military is trained to do! To take this guy to Court Martial would be a discredit to those who serve and protect us from these animals and heathens!

It's really nice to see this thing moving as fast as it has... the wife signed it earlier today and when she went to sign up a few co workers around her office.. there were 50 others who had already signed it before she could get the others signed up...

i think every one has missed the larger point to be made by this. the television crews have no place being there on a patrol.
stay back where the situation is safer and not on the front lines.
this is once again a liberal slant on a common occurance in this just and right war....
