Has anyone tried this size (7x36)? I usually avoid the smaller ring cigars, but the other Padrons I have tried are well constructed and I am thinking of trying this one.

I've never tried the Panatela. I do find the Chico to be a tasty little lunch time treat. I think the Panatela is the only Padron I haven't smoked. I just feel like if I was going to smoke something that long and slim, I'd rather have short and thicker. The amount of time in consuming is the same with much more flavor in the thicker ring gauges. The maduro panatela is a very nice smoke. The Padron flavor is very evident but you must ake your time with it as it will heat up toward the end, as most panatela's do. If you like em long and skinny, go for it.

Thanks for the info - sounds like a good golf course smoke, where there is plently of time. I just picked up 5 for $8, which seems like a good price on any Padron.

It's a nice smoke. It's not too long a smoke, it's a relatively short smoke (compared to a Toro or in Padron's case, a #3000). You get more flavor and body with the thinner gauged sticks because it builds as you smoke it (IMO not humble). Beware drawing too hard, as stated earlier, you will make it burn hot. Oh, and you really can't beat the price on the Padron panatela (Padron is one of my all-time favorite brands BTW, so that tells you how highly I think of this cigar and cigar line).

the immaturity of some on this board. My women? Yes long and skinny. Smokes? Heg is correct. You must resign yourself to taking your time to avoid heating that little skinny **** up. If you do that, damn fine smoke.

If you are an impatient smoker, you can light two panatellas and alternate puffs so you don't overheat them.

That's my helpful hint for the day. LOL

Easy rules to remember.
1)Padron good.
2)Rookie sucks.
