As far as I can tell, after the initial 15 minutes has elapsed after a bid, there is no way for me to add a second (or more) item from the same lot, true? In other words, if I decide the next day that I want to bid on an additional box in a lot I've already bid on, I'm out of luck. Is this true, and if so, how about CI considers changing it?

You would have to outbid yourself to do it. OR!!! You can sign up using a different name and bid alongside yourself. And you don't have to have split personalities to do this, but it helps. No it doesn't. Yes it does. no it doesn't.....

Speaking of split personalities, I'm going to have to change my earlier statement. If you use two names, you'll probably be charged two shipping fees. Sorry for any confusion. No I'm not. Yes I am...

It took me a minute to figure out what you were asking but tailgater is right......I think......you would have to outbid yourself again I think..maybe not......maybe so.....maybe not. Oh hell, just contact CB for the definitive answer!

It is simple! Just outbid yourself, as suggested above, and increase number of units then you can get your cigars as desired! I think? Charlie

Doesn't work, or at least it doesn't work as long as I'm "winning" the bid. I mean, I *could* create a new identity probably but it wouldn't really resolve the problem, because I'd end up paying for shipping twice.

I've sent them a suggestion to this effect; I can't really see how they could lose on it.

Solution: Know what the heck you're doing before you bid.

"Knowing what you're doing" doesn't always mean "knowing how the bidding will go". What other auction have you ever participated in where you couldn't raise your own bid?
