The robustos and larger gauge are not bad a good everday smoke anything with a smaller ring gauge and I always seem to find the ones that are hard to draw from. You can pick up a box from here often for less than 30 bucks. Good deal if you ask me.

Rick, name some for us. 5 Vegas is my favorite $1 everyday smoke and I am looking for more. Then I can use the money I save for the premium smokes!!!! Steve

Don't ask Rick. He has no sense of smell and buys white owls, er, I mean Leyendas. He also thinks the Rams will win because they are favorites in Vegas. He's delusional I tell ya. The cinco Vegas are are a great smoke for the money if you like Nics. If you don't like them, they make a great givaway smoke to friends, because they are inexpensive and smoke well enough for the novice. You really can't lose, although I am sure you can find other buck-smokes that suit your own personal taste.

Keith, in about 5 hours the RAMS will be the superbowl champs AGAIN. I will read your post then (how do you eat crow via a keyboard?). Out of fairness, if somehow they lose, I will give you a personal apology here. Rick, waiting on your list of decent $1 smokes. Steve

Tailgater, the game just ended and the Pats played a better game than the Rams. As promised, you were right(cough) the Patriots are the champs (choke, gurgle, gag). There, I said it. But I still can't believe it. Congrats

Rick, as usual you are hallucinating, the 5 Vegas is a great little cigar and for the price, you cannot beat it! Waht other cigars are you touting to be as good or better than the 5 Vegas? Are you still spinning because the Patriots decided to win in regulation, rather than go for the NFL standard routine,of settling for a tie and then hoping to win the coin toss for overtime! Charlie

I agree with Charlie. You can't beat the torpedo for a good everyday smoke for about a buck.

the best of the buck's. #1 evelio. smooth as a gravy sandwhich (toby's down home, country speak). last two boxes here went for $25.00. #2 la finca. reliable pleasant smoke. assorted sizes, from $.80 to $1.50. my personal choice gran finca 8.50 x 52 @ $1.50, a couple of hours worth. can be cut and relit (if you can find relited or relight or any other word that means light it again, please let me know)
#3 mi cubano madura. a stronger and heavier smoke. any where from $.80 to $1.80. sometimes hard to find.
and of course the specialty of the house (cbid) la habanera. a cigar in the tradtion of old fashioned cigars. not too strong, not too mild. kind of like the cigar my grandfather smoked in the 30's. i say cigar, singular, because i never saw him with anything other than that one cigar butt and one he never lit, that he kept in his jacket pocket, the one people began putting handkerchiefs in by mistake.

RE: Cinco Vegas; good smoke for the price, especially if you're a fan of smooth medium-bodied Nicaraguan cigars (ie, Cupido and Padron natural).

RE: La Finca; Rick, you know I love ya, but you are OUT OF YOUR MIND on this one. La Finca is TERRIBLE. I wouldn't even use it to keep the bugs away during the summer because the odor just might kill the trees and the lawn. I would however, like all of them shipped free of charge to all terrorist cells all over the world (let them smoke themselves out of their caves or from under their rocks).

RE: Mi Cubano; Rick, good call on this one. Nice cigar, though I'm not sure if they're still in production these days. Keith@cbid? Are they?

Water in German?!?!?! LaFinca Robustos and Toros are pretty good cigars, the smaller ring sizes are not much to speak of! Cannot compare to 5 Vegas. Charlie

Heg- to answer your question about the Mi Cubano. Last I knew Mi Cubano is kaput and no longer being produced. It was distributed by a company called Lane Ltd. which fell apart recently.
