I have read a lot of negative comments about 'cigar licking'. I have done some experiments and have found that there are enzymes in saliva that help bind a loose wrapper. Since then, all of my new cigars are pretreated this way. My dog, a lonely sort, got into the act one day and now does most of the licking. I don't let her lick the end I draw on because I don't want heartworm or anything like that. But she is in the 'cigar loop' now and is thrilled when the UPS truck comes. She can do a box of robustos in about 45 minutes. I imagine a larger dog like a lab could do a box in about 10 minutes. Try it out. P.S. Cats don't work for this. They have dry tongues. bill

Yes, It is a great book. Also, "The Mind of the Raven" is a great book. I was in the Grand Canyon and saw ravens flying in formation upside down.
Amazing animals. My dog is sharing more of her life with me. When I am snoring she wakes me up now, and doesn't let me go back to sleep until I have gotten out of bed, turned the lights on, and went into at least one other room. This way she knows I am really awake. We are in synch. She is also in the 'cigar loop' and has favorites like I do.

My dogs go nuts when I open or get near one of my humidors! Time to run and enjoy the outside! I would guess they would smoke one but wife might object! Charlie

It seems to easy to mention Monica Lewinski, but I did it anyway. May be Bill (Ex-prez) was just tring to keep his cigar from falling apart.
