I won a bid and was sent the wrong cigars. I contacted cbid through email and was sent the correct cigars and a pre-paid return label. That's when I noticed that the pre paid label was only $1.95 not the $ 3.95 I paid to have them sent south. Is it cheaper to ship north or did Joe Pesci nail it in Lethal Weapon when he said "YOU GET F***ED IN THE DRIVE THRU". Just food for thought..

Shipping and HANDLING. Mail order often costs at LEAST a couple $ for taking the item off the shelf and putting it in the box.

Then I guess I'll send them a bill for my handling charge since it was there screw up to start with.

Mr. Wilson,

Thanks for the note and I hope to clarify the confusion. You are correct that our base shipping fee for a 5-pack is $3.95. We ship lightweight items to our customers via Priority-Mail. We have found that Priority-Mail is more reliable (and less damage occurs) than with First Class service. Priority Mail service starts at $3.50 for a 2-lb package. For lightweight packages, it is still more cost effective than UPS. We tack on $0.45 for handling (the box, peanuts, labor, etc.)

However, when a problem occurs and a lightweight package (one 5-pack, one torch lighter, etc.) must be returned back to us, we use First Class postage. We're willing to take a risk on damage or loss ourselves, but we're not willing to take that same risk for packages sent to our customers.

I hope this helps and feel free to email us at [email protected].

Trish is the greatest, she is actually the one who helped me originally. I would love to run around yelling "I got a spanking from Trish" but Im afraid my wife might get jealous.

whenever i have a problem, cbid always includes a small gift as an apology. so far i have received a torch ligher, a double bladed cutter, a 20 % discount on my next order, not to exceed $10.00, but that's fair. (some of you guys might order a bunch of stuff and that wouldn't be right.) the nicest surpirse gift i got was a cigar i had not smoked before, something called a coa anniversary
