Does anyone know what price wholesalers really pay for "premium" cigars? WIth the internet it's easy to chekc lots of prices for cigars and see such a wide range. For example CAO Anniv Maduro Churchill, a popular cigar that is available. I've seen prices range from $85 to $125 for a box of 20 through internet retailers. They usually sell for $6.50 - $7.50 per stick around here (Wash DC) and $130 - $145 per box at the tobacco stores. I know a store retailer has more overhead costs to cover but that's quite a difference. I assume the guy selling at $85 is still making some money, but how much did he pay for that box of cigars? Anybody have the inside scoop??
Thanks
Bill

You have to take into account taxes with the brick & mortar stores. RE: Wholesale prices, let's just say that a LOT of times, bidders are getting below wholesale on their auctions. Now go and thank an overbidder for keeping cigarbid successful ;)

I found winning bids for an item can vary as much as its published prices.
