You out there, Stogus? Anybody here know "Stogus Maximus"? He was organizing a Texas herf, sometime in May, but the BB site he was moderating to organize it no longer exists. Did someone from Oklahoma rub him out?

He sent out an email to everyone saying that he has given up on trying to organize it since no body was showing any interest.

You're kidding! I know he was having difficulty getting anyone from Dallas to commit to helping, but otherwise people from other cities were in there! We had decided on the date and some of the events already; too bad he gave it up! I never got the e-mail -- and I'm surprised because I told him I'd help in my neck of the woods. Thanks for filling me in, jfergus.

Yeah, I stopped the herf. There were 80 people registered for the herf and in 3 weeks I only got 4 votes on one of the polls. It just seemed like I was doing a ton of work for a group of people that would not participate.

I did not want to take away the herf from everybody that was helping and participating, but my schedule just would not allow me to do 100% of the work.
