Anyone got the scoop on this brand. I hear occasional whisperings that it is something nice, but believe I have tried it and found it to be......well, I just dont remember....Though as I remember it was not a beautiful stick.....any info??????

I haven't had one but I did see them selling for $24.95 a box.

I won some here on CB....smoked two gave the rest to my brother (he'll smoke anything). Didn't care for them one bit.

You should have just put them down for 3-6 months. They are usually a pretty darn good smoke.

I really like this brand, but it needs at least 2 months in the humidor before you partake. It's a nice oily Nicaraguan. I've had the robustos, the small ones (like 4.75 x 44), the toros, and the churchills and have liked all. This is the same brand that released the Tony Borhani XXO's. It's a relatively new brand and was rated best buy for it's price range by Smoke Mag and the churchill was rated in the high 80's in CigAf. They're cheap now, but I could see a hype growing for these, so get in on the ground floor if you're curious (I bought a bundle (25) of the little ones for $45), so if you've seen them for $25, what do you have to lose? Worst case scenario, you have some nice looking giveaways that didn't cost you much. I'm aging 2 toros now for 6 months, and 3 XXO's for about 5 1/2 months. Now that you mention it, I think I'll have to smoke a toro out on the course tomorrow morning... Thanks.

It's a good $1 cigar. Typically rolled too loosely. The wrappers are too veiny but are full of flavorful oils that make this cigar a keeper for the golf humidor.

I'm curious about the XXO's. How strong? I've heard that anything Tony Borhani is into will be pretty good. Any thoughts?

Good question. I find the XXO to be a full, heavy smoke but not as complex and strong as the Bahia Gold line. Comparable to the CAO Annv Maduro cigars but without the molasses taste you find in the CAO. In fact, all three cigars mentioned here were at one time made by TB factories. I am pretty sure that Nick Perdermo now makes the CAO label for the Ozenger family. Bottom line is, the XXO is a stand up smoke.
