Has anyone tried these? Can't seem to find a rating for them anywhere.

well I will tell you, the regular line of Dan Juan, the Churchill, was a regular after dinner cigar of mine last summer, a pleasant and very toasty flavor and I still quite like them, but they can burn hot, they can be bitter also. I saw these on auction, I was tempted, but I still have plenty of Don Juan's on hand

Well, I myself was thinking of buying a box of the platinums myself, and upon reading your posting, I decided to try a Presidente of the regular line I have had for a couple of months. Beautiful cigars...It started off very cedary and a bit bitter but rounded off, if still a bit one dimensionsl, after an inch or two....but, then by the end it had turned into a real s**t stick. Normally I keep the bands, for some reason, but this one I wanted to just throw into the trash. Perhaps the platinum line is better.......

I have been winning Don Juans on Cigarbid for about a year now. They have good construction and a nice wrapper and they perform fairly well half way through the cigar.Unfortunately the cigar is short lived and it turns bad about half way through.Still its a pretty good value and w/o beating the aging issue into the ground, they do get better and last longer with time.I hope that the Platinum line is better now that some are up for bid.
