What's this Liberal-Conservative labeling all about anyway. Is this country so polorized that there isn't room for a person to hold moderate political views anymore? Maybe it's time for a real third party movement to take hold in this country just to give the MAJORITY of Americans a voice that is not biased by Republican or Demoractic party doctrine and "sound bites". This citizen isn't too happy with the "c" student running things now or billy boy then. It's time to move along folks and get on with calling a spade a spade. If the price of oil goes up ALL oil men make huge profits at the expense of the consumer. Chaney-Bush and their well heeled friends running the PAC's are the first ones to come to my mind. Enron just didn't "happen" by itself. And why doesn't Chaney have time to answer questions about his invlovement in this scandle? It smells to high heaven folks!!!

Rick, you ignorant slut. It's true that GW's kids are a pack of spoiled brats who've been in trouble with the law. But that doesn't change the fact that Slick Willy is still the sleaziest sleaze in all of presidential history. And now that little Chelsea is over in England, reports are coming in from all over that she's having a great time whoreing around London. And why not? Her dad is such a great role model. Perhaps it is time for a real third party to come along to represent the majority of Americans. Only trouble is, there isn't any party like it that can truly say it's middle of the road. They all have an extreme tilt in one direction or the other.

There you go again Charlie. I'm not a liberal, nor am I a leftist so don't put you twisted labels on me thank you. Save that stuff to spoon feed to the people who buy your load of crap. I at least can think for myself and not parrot a "party line" like you!

bud, I was thinking of Dan Akroyd & Jane Curtain when I wrote that. Perhaps I should prefaced it by, "In my best Dan Akroyd, Saturday Night Live voice...."

joeswift, good shot, and I appreciate your viewpoint! Too bad you miss on some of the humor that we instill in these posts, but then there are folks who never did catch onto Saturday Night Live or Laugh In...you must be one of those along with trying to balance your "middle of the road" theory!!! I am for pro choice when it comes to abortion, and I am certainly against the far right side of the Republican party, and I cannot even imagine the Democrats that are on the extreme left and against everything having anything to contribute, but the Religious Right is just as bad! Loosen up a bit and enjoy yourself! Charlie

Perhaps you're right Charlie. Let's respectfully agree to disagree with one another and when you pull your head out of your a-hole, then I'll pay more attention to you and your viewpoints. Anyway, I'm sure you are a patroit, as I am myself and on that point I support you.

Well said Jon! We two, Charlie and I, just seem to be a little too high strung for our own good today, I admit it! I'm resolved to loosen up my jock strap for the duration. Anyway, go Iron Man with your first(?) garden. It sems that you have that green thumb I've been told about. 20x 40 sounds like a lot of work but I'm sure it's a lobor of love. Later on, joe

Don't spew liberal rhetoric while claiming to be 'middle of the road'. A Moderate is simply someone without enough conviction to make a decision. Yes, we need a third party, but not one based on a neutral agenda. We need one that is not afraid to speak the truth.

There is nothing neutral about me tailgator. I can make a decision just like you and stand by it. I support those issues that I feel are right, like getting the best cigars for the least "credits"! I suspect that you, Charlie and I have a lot more in common than we supose. So when you run for president, let me know and I'll be your campaign manager and if we get you elected we'll all support you I assure you. Also, give Charlie and me plushy jobs at the pork barrel if you can see your way to do it, as I need to pay off the farm and my national cigar debt. Later on, joe

I know for a fact that a load of crap costs exactly $17.00 per square yard in Newberg, OR. That's where I got my last truckload of mushroom compost- which is mostly horse ****! LOL!

Here in this part of Texas, we get composted turkey s#*t for $15.00 a cubic yead, Iron Bar(really). And now that my stock portfolio has a huge hole in it from my Enron flush, this Texas Republican (moderate) needs to take your lead and suppliment my up-coming retierment with some gardening of my own. Enjoy those fresh veggies and think "third party" with the balls enough to do the job right next time!! I'll vote for tailgater when he see's fit to run, as long as he supports us little people who are the majority of America's middle class (that sounds like about all of us here in this forum). I'm just tired of paying the bills for the Liberals AND the Conservatives and I'm not afraid to think out of the box because of it. I'm not interested in being "courted" every four years for my vote and then being taken advantage of by those who we elected, Republican or Democrat.

never called you neutral, swifty. Just made a comment about what a "moderate" politician is. (And you were singing the Liberal Theme Song at the time). In a perfect world, a moderate would indeed be "middle of the road" with common sense and common decency. But a Moderate in todays politics is simply one who deviates from their party stance, only to wave in the wind until their swing vote can be properly polled so as not to offend anyone. Politicians are NOT concerned about actually doing anything. Rather, they simply want to sponser a "feel good" bill so they can boost their resume for the next election. But that's a story for another post...

I agree with you Tailgater. I don't trust the guys in congress as far as I can throw them so to speak.
I'm just a swinging d--k out here, like you and I don't go along with the swing votes. I have no respect for those guys who line their pockets by selling themselves and their votes at your and my expense but as you pointed out, it is the very nature of the beast. I'm more of an issue driven king of guy than a party line guy. Hence, I think of myself as a moderate because I sometimes support the other side of an issue other than the official line. But I'm very much more of a Conservative in most of the issues that matter. It's just that if I see a ball or a strike come accross the plate I'm going to trust my eyes, not my ears and call it as I see it. All the guys I hang out with around here are fairly much accross the board, Republicans and they are, like I am, small busness men. Most every one of us here in my neighborhood have lost a bundle from the Enron stock flush that is, in our opinions, a swindle of the first magnatude. I don't blame GW because he's only the front man and probably wasn't in the know in the first place but Chaney is a guy that I'd like to have a face to face with sometime in the future. I'd have some hard questions to ask him I assure you.
