.... cigars you don't like! I'm not talking about premiums that you could trade...I'm talking about the lower priced sticks that you may have bought here as an experiment..... you know, in that everlasting search for a decent everyday cheap smoke..... that turned out HORRIBLY WRONG! Do you just throw 'em away and call it a learning experience?..... donate 'em to the local VFW Post so the old timers can have some free smokes?....... what???? I've got a bunch of Espinosa's that I won here when I first found this place that just sit in my humi. Periodically I light one up in hopes that they will magically change in to something half way decent...... and so far it hasn't happened! Come on guys.... what do you do with your "dog rockets"?????

In all honesty, I just smoke them! Someone has too! If we were stupid enough to purchase them, that is our punishment!

As an avid organic gardener, I can attest to the fact they make great compost, as well as the butts from the cigars I do smoke. Gives the worms a chance to enjoy them too.

I kept some of the espinosas that I bought in hopes that they would transform too. Get rid of them. Unless you've done something revolting or terrible, noone deserves the punishment of smoking them. I'm afraid of putting them in my mulch pile for fear the bugs will get pissed at me.

I used lone wolfs for mulch and my rose bush died, the worms left, but the good side is the cats that run free no longer crap in the garden.

There are several choices for the Espinosas, lone wolfs and escudo cubanos out there. First, save them for moochers. When a friend comes over and sees you with your Ashton and says "boy, I've never had one of those before", all you do is whip out that trusty Espinosa and say "hey, I bet you havent had one of these either". Another option is to put them up for auction on Yahoo. Put them up on auction for ten cents and then charge ten dollars for shipping. You let a "newbie" have the experience and a few cheap sticks to put in that first humidor he just bought and is waiting to show off to his friends. Lastly, you might go to Big Smoke Vegas this year, bring them with you and then hide them like easter eggs. Bring a camera so you can document people actualy smoking them. Or at big smoke you might put them in a zip lock bag and write "property of Marvin Shanken" on them and than leave them somewhere "accidently", than what for someone to find them and take up to Marvin and say "hey, I think these are yours", again a good time for a camera. Remember, dog rockets always have some sort of value to someone. I gave two dozen Papayo's to a friend once and he gave them to the guy that pumps his gas (we have no self serve). That guy thought they were the best anywhere and now my buddy gets the best service when he pulls in to the gas station.

I tried to smoke my dog rockets while mowing the yard and such but it made it a very distasteful experience. I gave them away to co-workers that I don't see socially.Barry

I Will Give All Cheap Sticks At Least A Year.I Have Had Some Good Results. The Others I Light Up Then Fishing Or Out In The Yard.I Put Them In A Holder And They Keep The Bugs Away.If You Pour A Little Kerosene On The End I Bet They Would Make A Good Tourch.Got To Try That One.

I use the three counts and you're out in the trash rule...I just don't have time or patience to waste on a poor smoke...I've had some luck with bundles and the "if you like Montecristos you'll like these" smokes you can find at most internet stops like SJ Cigars and Phoenix. But I've also discovered that not every famous name suit has all its buttons...so I keep trying off-the-racks. I agree with BBS that all cigars improve with age, but how much -- like kids -- depends on the start they got in life.
