I may be mistaken ... but I believe it's a Victor Sinclair Vintage Select.

I've never had a Victor Sinclair that I liked ...

... but the again, the band doesn't look right. The 55 may refer to the length, which is 5.5 inches.

It kind of looks like the Punch Rare Corojo band.

Need to give those Bohemians that Rick is stockpiling a try Slim. Very tasty, very smooth. I like!

Thanks again!

I guess there are two different ones out there ... a 'green band' and a 'red band' ---

This is what one site had to say about them ...

Had a couple of the Red Label VS Serie 55 last summer. From my memory it was a reasonably powerful smoke, better than average construction and appearance and medium-full flavor. Great packaging with the label and band in great looking humidor quality boxes with each cigar in a divided tray. Promoted to be equal to a FFOX at a much lesser price. I believe that the VS 55 were about $8.00. IMHO it was a good smoke that was similar but not quite as flavorful as the FFOX. However, having said all this, several other smokes are just as good for less money.

Just my .02 worth.

Sinclair has come a long way in trying to break out of their old reputation. The 55 series are good and so are the Bohemian Revolution. I didn't care for the North Beach.

In the 55 series, I prefer the red label and it does have a slight "Opus-like" taste. At the $8 retail range, it is up against tough competition from equal or cheaper sticks.

The Bohemian Revolutions are worth a try. My preference is the Hawkeye with the sungrown wrapper and it it rapidly sneaking in a good everyday smoke in my lineup. The humidor ammoboxes they are packaged in work great. At first glance, I expected this cigar to be heavy on packaging/marketing and weak on quality and was pleasantly surprised.

Cbid often has a sampler of Bohemians that contains one of each and is a decent way to try them all.
