I've tried several "boxed" cigars. I know how the process works but keep missing anything special, if there is anything special. Is there? The things I've notice consistently is I roll them between my fingers more because of the creased edges and there is a perceptible center to the draw.

I have smoked several "box pressed" cigars would not go out of my way to order a cigar just because it is box pressed! It seems some cigar makers are giving the root cause of "box pressing" to the Cubans, but I have never seen a box pressed ISOM! Just another marketing gimmick? I think so! Charlie

I've noticed that I get more burn problems with box pressed cigars that the rounds. It doesn't stop me from buying box pressed cigars..... I just "hit" 'em with the lighter a bit more. Also I've never bought a cigar simply because it was box pressed------ I don't care if it was triangle pressed, if it tastes good, I'm gonna buy it!
Smoke 'em if you got 'em------ Tony

I prefer my cigars to be round. I have a CAO that is so box pressed that it is rectangular. This goes to far.

I generally like a round cigar. I have however, tried the Cupido Criollos and like them alot. If you see TH from Munford bidding, please let me have them!

I Have Smoked a box Pressed ISOM... Purchased them from Rob Ray about 8-10 months ago.. Partagas Limited Reserve Maduro's... Exelent Cigars... Nice Draw and the Wrapper did not Loosen up like the Nic's, Honduran and Dominican's I Have Smoked... Seems these Brands were not Pressed Long enough and I have Noticed they seem to loosen up quite abit while smoking.. I don't care for that, and I have also Noticed there really isn't much difference in the Taste's Take CAO Tubo's for instance.. Maduro's or Extremes.. they Both weather be Tubo or reg brand.. taste is the same... just seem to be paying a few extra bucks for the Brand... But hey half you guy's Overbid on the damn things anyways so whats the extra bucks for an "Impressive Cigar Conversation Piece"???

I got some Perdomo2 Rhombus. They are basically thick tongue depressors made out of tobacco. Not bad tobacco. I never had one roll off the table on me.

i was lucky enough to buy a box presser. it has 10 or 12 trays and a cover that gets clamped to the top tray and forces all the cigars to cure in a "box shape". it was a special thing that was done in cuba. it serves no useful purpose. it does the same thing a "normal press" does. it signified a sort of that french "jenny say quack" kind of cool. also the cigars won't easily roll off the end of a table when you set it down to pour a drink.

Hey Rick, you don't set a cigar down to pour a drink, what do you think that you have a mouth for? LOL!

I like box pressed, but after she opens her legs and the cigar falls out I have to let it dry a bit or it doesn't burn well.

Mr. Big -- With that last comment, I officially close the question, for the time being. BTW, you never explained your user name. I think it's time to start coming up with some embarassing possibilities.

So sorry for the off color material, the P stands for Pig, need I say more. I'll watch my comments and try to refrain from any sexual connotations
