My first summer having cigars shipped. You know they spend 3-4 days in warehouses and trucks at 90+ degrees. What are your concerns/solutions about beetles?

dang contraption...

what i been doing is double or triple bagging everything that arrives and freezing it for about 5 days. move the cigars to the fridge overnight to let them warm up slowly. then take them out, unwrap and put away. better safe than sorry.

Total waste of time ... and could possibly damage your cigars. I have never put any of my cigars in the freezer, and I haven't had one beetle yet.

Just lucky I guess ...

It's very possible. Freezing and thawing can crack the wrappers ... not to mention the possibility of picking up odors. Uless they are in an air tight container, I wouldn't risk it ...

Got 'em...Houston summer: cicadas, doodle bugs and tobacco beetles...two crawled out into the light this morning as I picked out a smoke to go with a cup of coffee... each about 1/8-inch long...I'm up for dropping my stash in a ziploc and into the freezer...then quarantine...I'll let you know.

I had the beetle problem last year. Put them in ziplock bags 4 3days. Then into fridge for one. No cracked wrappers,no smells,No bugs.
