Note: this is not a Victor Sinclair X, it is X's Victor Sinclair, because Xibumbro sent me one in a nice little care package in that pretty Sinatra cigar box. This cigar looks like quality and is great to have in hand. Extremely and expertly boxpressed, it had a brown wrapper that was only very lightly oily if at all. In my haste, I didn't take the measure of it, maybe 6 x 52? Extremely well constructed, it drew well with the slightest nip off the cap with my trusty Xikar. Toasted and lit easily and burned straight and true until the last third, at which it only needed a small touch up with the torch to get right back on track. The ash was gray-white and firm. It held on a good inch before I tapped it off (only because my wife grows tired of sweeping the patio of my experiments with ash length, and I am even tireder). It fell into the ashtray in one solid piece. Now maybe the ash doesn't really matter that much to flavor and aroma, but aesthetically it sure matters, and that's part of the enjoyment for me. Anyone still awake? Speaking of flavor and aroma, this one is all cigar. No cherry or god-forbid citrus, no grass. If it is a little one-dimensional, I like the one dimension. Good cigars always smell like wealth to me, and this one has that. I would call this one smooth and medium bodied. No harshness or bitterness. You won't need an ambulance after you nub it. I have no idea what the price of these things are, it was my first one, and it was a gift. But if you can get some on a bid at a good price, go for it. I had mine with iced tea, home brewed, whitened with some Carnation lo-fat evaporated milk and 2 packets of Splenda, surrounded by potted tropical plants, in case you want to repeat the whole experience. Thanks Xibbumbero! Good gar.
