I lit my victory cigar (not an Opus ... just a plain ol' Sancho Panza) mid-way through the 4th quarter ... or was it a loss-cigar? ... hard to tell, because believe it or not, I like BOTH teams ... each has guys on it that I have watched for years ... I first saw Jason Kidd play while he was still in jr. high school and he was carrying his team then, too ... I thought Jason Collins (who I watched in HS and at Stanford) made a big-time breakthrough in the way he was able to play Shaq ... Keith Van Horn I saw a LOT of in college since he and I are fellow Utah-men, even though a generation apart ... Brian Shaw is another I first saw when he played in HS and have followed ever since ... and although he got almost no playtime, Mark Madsen I've watched in HS, at Stanford and now the Lakers ... (one of my sons coached him on the HS freshman football team where Mark was a TE) .... I only wish it could've been a better series ... the Lakers were incredible in their ability to make everything work right for them ... if the Nets had been just a little stronger ... oh, well ... congrats on the Lakers AND the Opus, Rick
