Anyone else ever done that? ... enter a bid for the amount you intended to put as your max bid ?? I know I have and felt dumb as hell as soon as it came up ... luckily for me, as well as for RS in this case, it was not a backbreaking difference ... and talking about regulars who've not posted in a while, where's SammyDaddy lately ?? Maybe he and Rick went fishing together ... think?

For SteveS, Yes, it's an easy mistake to put your limit price in as the first price. But if you catch the error right away you can fix it. Display the lot and enter . Enter your password, check the EDIT BID box. Leave other data like price and quantity empty. Submit the bid. You will be allowed to change your bid price, limit and quantity. You have 15 minutes from the time of your bid to do this according to the edit rules. By the way, you cannot use this feature to withdraw a winning bid. The new price that you enter must still win.

SteveS, Sorry, one of the command was left out as I type the previous post. This one should be better: Display the lot and select Bid on this lot. The new price that you enter must still win.

thanks a lot ... luckily, I've only done that a few times and haven't really been hurt by it ... still, that's good information to have and I appreciate your passing it along to me ...
