Humidifier solution. I read once that you can make your own 50/50 solution. Its 50% water and
50% propylene glycol (which you can get from your local pharmacy for about $8-10 a quart). I bought some, made my solution and have been using it for about a year now. Only have to recharge with 50/50 every six months or so and add distilled water about every 4 to 6 weeks. Lots cheaper than what they sell the same stuff for retail.

There's a few people here on the boards that do that...Check the history for more info on this...I might try that soon!

If you think your heart can stand the exitment... Get some fruit pectin from your local grocer. 1 box ought to be enough cigar mender for a lifetime.

rookie139: when you add the distilled water to replace it, don't over fill the oaises. if you pour water and it drips out, you are losing the pg. you don't want the pg to run out and defeat it's purpose. make your own soap dish humidifier and solve the humidity problem forever.---now please tell me how to use the pectin to keep the wrapper on. thanks

Rick, 1st U dissolve pectin. Keep it in an air tight container. Use an artist brush to gently apply under wrapper. Smooth into place, and put away 4 at least 24 hrs. I use Cigar Doctor, which comes in a little bottle with a brush built into the top. It applies very easy. It's slicker than greased goose $hit.LOL X
