I too have never tried one and am unable to say ... I DID try an Excalibur 1066 (three different times) and found them to be light years away from my taste ... I know they're highly rated and a great many of you like them, but to me, I could make as good a smoke by gathering my lawn clippings and rolling them up in a dead leaf from the tree and enjoy it every bit as much ... for those of you who like those 1066's, don't flame me on this ... it's just different taste ... and you have the solace of knowing I won't be the one bidding against you when they come up here ... lol

I'll try the maduro and get back to you ...

Steve,My sentiments exactly on the 1066. I have not tried the Ex maddy though. I have heard good things about them though. I'll keep my eyes peeled 4 them. X

HdM, Excalibur, 1066....all fine smokes in any wrapper, IMFO! They are my "go to" smokes and have been for quite some time.

Not only is your taste in music exceptional, your taste in cigars is almost better. I am completely addicted to the Excalibur #5 Maduro -- one of my all time favorite cigars. Must also say that I won some Mayorga's on this auction site, which knocked my socks off --- comparable (as far as enjoyment level) to the Excalibur's but a little more body. Either way, I'm in heaven (with Soggy Bottom Boys playin in the background).

The Prensado Oscuro is about as good a maduro as you can get!

Uh-oh. Don't tell anyone there's a couple of boxes of Prensados currently up for bid, going cheap! I gave a local friend a box of these things and luckily he'll gift one back from time to time. Dem's good.

No. 1 Maduro - standard golf equipment. Got a box in the back of the 'dor - been there for about 1.5 years - broke the seal 3 weeks ago - awesome!!
