when i bid on several things and i win only one auction for one five pack or one bundle and i have to pay the appropriate rate for shipping and can't take advantage of shipping a bunch of stuff. no one's fault, breaks of the game. still annoying.

Rick, you know what really burns my ass? It's when I drop a lig cigar between my legs and then try to stand up and grab it and it rolls under me and I accidentally fall back on it. AAAAAAARRRRRRRGH!

LLT, Does that happen often? I had an uncle that would fall asleep with a cigarette in his mouth. He would have a 2in ash on it. Maybe you just finished one of those "twigs" before you started the cigar. Or you could just sit on the floor. I hope your condition improves.
If any of the other newbies need a "shipping" win, the lighters here are a dang good bargain. I got a cheap zippo to go with a 5-pack.

It's happened to me Rick. I loose my primary bid and win the bid I made just to offset the shipping charges(end up paying $13 for 5 $2 smokes). Just have to bid on more stuff. Barry

Rick, as a precaution, always put a bid in on a 5-pack of Lone Wolf

I don't bid on Wednesday if I haven't won a least two lots earlier. I start bidding on Thursday and scrub the lots pretty well once I win one. I'll bottom feed once I'm over budget. I've had some pleasant surprises from lots I wouldn't have normally gone after. That's the nice thing about CB, you end up trying smokes you wouldn't have bought otherwise. At the end of a successful week, I figure the shipping is the smallest part of my expense. And I don't pay the electric bill until I ready to replenish my tamaledor (humidor I made from a tamale packing case).

I really get annoyed when someone says, "I love cigars" and grabs a really good cigar out of the humidor (Partagas Black, Onyx Reserve, Pedromo, etc) and smokes about 1/4th of the cigar and then either puts it out or exults, "That one is too strong" before letting it burn out in the ashtray.........why couldn't the bast--d grabbed something that would be an everyday smoke? eleltea--nupercainal is a great topical pain relief ointment. have some woman apply it sloooowly to the burned area and etc. incidently if you were part of the jim thompson discussion, i finally saw "coup de torchon" (pop 1280) on dvd. i should have gotten a copy on vhs so i could dup it for you and anyone else that was interested.

Charlie---i didn't know you had such great cigars in your humidor. you shouldnt let anyone near your humidor. i keep the display i bought here,of 50 flavored cigars in humipacks (plastic) i think i paid about $5.00 for each of two boxes of 50. my client love them. of course there are some clients that smile at me when i offer one of thethese and i know they know these are cr*p. than we get into a real discussion about cigars.

darn tootin. I bought 6 pounds of coffee to save on shipping, my big problem is that I was on a daily shipping, and switched to a weekly, but before that took effect, I won auctions everyday for three days and paid out the cahunas in shipping. Now that I am on a weekly, I don't need to big again for a little while, while I gather in the booty from my last auction blitzkrieg. I don't get annoyed about people overbidding me at the last second, thinking they will get one over me, as nearly every box sold in an auction one day will be on the blocks again in the near future, and then it is come to butthead.

Rick: what did you think of Coup de Torchon? Have you read the book? If not, you should and then compare.

What annoys me is the uninformed bidding. People are bidding way higher than the same cigars would cost at other online sites. Well, why not just go there and pay the guaranteed price? I am on CB to Save money, not to Overpay! Maybe we should list retail prices in the comments section of the bids.

I hate it when there is like 20 lots avail, and 1 person had bid on all of them, and has his max set to the point of "aww forget it!"

Overbidders... I hate the underbidders. I start my bid at retail so it wont happen to me.

calavera --i reread and toby read pop 1280 for the first time before we watched the movie. if you get the dvd (half.com) watch the director's comments first and it will guide you through the movie with more info. i've waited almost 10 years to get a copy and watch it and it was worth the wait. sorry i have no way to dup the dvd, but it cost less than $25.00

I think it is a good idea to list the street price in your comments, not that a lot of these BOZOs are going to bother to check those before entering their auto-bid limits at 20% over retail! ;o)

Delarob, exactly what you mention almost upsets me the most. Some **** that autobids (nothing) on all lots, just to crank up bidding in the long run. These twats..... no utter twats...... must be paid by or are on a commission by CB. (Just kidding CB. Just kidding!!) Gggrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

**** is a well known phrase in his country, it originated from Charles Pickens the well known Dutch author who wrote "A Tale of Two Titty's"

Oh, I see. Maybe "****" in US English is a naughty word. In British English it means "silly idiot" or "moron". Something like that.
