Every once in a while, I like to start one of these threads to hear from other people what their favorite cigars are, and use the responses as suggestions to try new sticks. Hopefully others will find it useful as well. Here are mine... let us all know yours!

In no particular order...
1. Padron Anniversary Maduro
2. La Gloria Cubana Serie R Natural
3. La Perla Habana Black Pearl
4. Bahia Gold Natural
5. Griffin Natural
6. OpusX
7. CAO Extreme
8. Mayorga
9. Punch
10. Davidoff Millennium

Hope you find something new on my list to give a try!

Hey, RT ... what a guy!!! I've tried and liked most of those 'gars, on your list but never the Bahia Gold or the Davidoff Millennium ... I sure appreciate your offer to let my try one of your favorite cigars ... oh, and you can send either one ... both sound just fine ... I'm not fussy, 'specially when they're free.

RT: I like your list and yes, I too have smoked most of them. Unfortunately, due to unavailablity, I've been deprived of tasting those Opus X's, and the Bahia Gold's. So you can send those my way, and yes, I will try them for you.

Thanks to X I am going to have to add AFuente Exquisitos to my favorites list. Those little suckers kick ass for maybe a half hour with a ton of smoke and a great balance of strength and flavor. Damn you X I dont need to pay that much for such a small cigar.

My current faves include everything named by Cliffie. WTF is Cliffie? Cant be a newb with that list. Except I would sub Criollo Campana for the Onyx at this time.

Management reserves the right to substitute comparable cigars without notice.

Hey, LT. I'm an oldie with a newbie name. The new & improved "CL". I got here just about when the board was created, almost three years ago. Six or seven years ago I would've told you JR Ult dbl-mads were a favorite, and to this day they still are. Others you ought to try if you haven't already: La Luna Maduro Fuertes, Flor de Oliva Grand Maduros, Habano Primeros (are these made any more?), Henry Clays (not the H2000 wrapper).

I've been smoking cigars steadily for about four years and wouldn't put myself forward as an expert. My favorites have been Ashton maduro, Arturo Fuente (all), Padron maduro, Partagas maduro, Sosa and Bauza (no surprises among those). But I also liked Henry Clay, Cuban Royal Stock, and Flor de los Reyes.

I'm not even going to try. You guys will just laugh your A$$es off. My simple tastes brobably need some refinement. If someone would send any of the aforementioned cigars to me to help refine my tastes, I would probably be a better contributor to this forum. Thank you in advance.

(Was that a worthy attempt Steve??)

Not bad, Rayder ... not bad at all, especially for the first try ... ultimately, you will want to be a little more direct, though ... come right out and tell Xibbumbero you want him to send you a Camacho Diploma, tell Slim you'd be glad to try one of his WOAs or a Perdomo Estate Seleccion ... ask Charlie to send you a Pardon Anniversary and ask JR for one of those Excalibur Prensado Oscuros ...

they're great guys and will be more than happy to oblige ... and, you can tell 'em these were my recommendations if you like, as long as while you're at it, you have them send the same stuff to me.

oh, Rayd ... one more thing ... when you talk to Charlie, be sure to correct my spelling of Padron, will you? He'll think we're both a couple of goofballs if you don't .... lol

Great list. Here's my top choices: La Gloria Cubana Series R Maduro; Padron Anniversarali; Punch; Hoyo de Monterey; Romeo y Julieta; (I actually have one Opus X, but am damned scared to smoke it!); Fuente Hemingway Short Story; CAO L’Anniversaire Maduro; and to round it off with a great everyday smoke...a well aged Connie #9 Robusto.

Can anyone give me a few suggestions? I absolutely love the La Gloria Cubana Series R Maduro. Does anyone have any suggestions for similar smokes? Any input would be appreciated! THanks!

Rick, I was going to include a copy of the Modern Jazz Quartet Blues at Carnegie Hall, but I can't get my CD copying software to work right. When I get things straight, I'll send you a copy.

I'm looking through my humidors now.
1) This ones a good one
2) And can't forget this one.
3) This one is top 5 material too.
4) Look at the oily sheen on this one.
5) My fifth pick is a tie between these two right here.
