I have smoked cigars but not so often. I inherited some nice humidors with cigars. I think it was my first time to smoke truly premium cigars. (what a rush) Threw my optimos in the garbage. Now I have made several orders from CI. A whole new world out there. Need some help figuring out how to fill these humidors. Will entertain any suggestions. Please, be gentle i dont know who is on the straight yet. OH so far my best has been the padron 3000 and a don kiki 2000 (cant find that one) tell me what you think.
PS I have thick skin.

I have a passion for Padron cigars. If you liked the 3000 try some of the others and maybe one of the Annnivesarios. If you like the Nic. flavors, try some of the CAO Anniv. cammies. Flor de Oliva Grand Cameroons are another to try. I guess I'm partial to Nicaraguans and Cameroon wrappers. Try 'em all and buy what you like! Barry

Rick, remember this is a CIGAR BOARD! Do not send a PIPE BOMB!

Note to CIA/FBI: This is a play on words. A cigar bomb is when . . . oh, never mind. Use the search engine.

Welcome aboard. Indications of you first post show you have improved english over the previous "cigsmoke". Don't send Rick an e-mail, he'll get your address and send you cat juggling pics.

cigarsmoke: great hobby...I love it. Enjoy your Humidors..make sure you set them right. If you like Padron's (and really, who doesn't), try adding some CAO's.

Hi, c-smoke ... if you think this is a warm welcome you're getting now, wait 'til you send each of us the 'welcome-me-to-the-board' cigars that all newbies are required to send ... obviously, of course, we form our judgement of you, based on the quality of the cigars you send, so you'll want to be sure to send good ones ... I feel it's safe to say, I speak for the group in telling you that your sending the finest cigars will guarantee you the very warmest of welcomes.

Thanks Steve, would you want me to send you a cigar now based on the knowledge and experience that I have at this point? Or would you rather me send one after you experienced smokers have nurtured and guided me into a upcoming aficionado with your welcome aboard premium cigars. Steve I am more than ready to share a couple of optimos with you right now if thats what you want. John

Cannot get over the Flor de Oliva Grand Cameroon. I too love Padrons but this is a close second for the price point per stick. Can't find them anywhere but CI.

i suspect you came here more than ready to deal with all rascals that hunt and prey on a new man to the board.

steveS i believe is fond of something called a lone wolf. i personally use it as a suppository, but as they say, one man's--is another man's ---.

i'm sorry you live in texas where priority mail is considered the same as occupant mail and takes 3 times as long as regular mail.

tailgator, the "Big House" in Texas is in Huntsville. I moved here in '77 from Huntsville, Alabama. It took me a while to figure out why people looked at me funny when they asked where I was from. They didn't hear the Alabama part. Only thing is , people still look at me funny lol. Barry

...speaking of the "big house", Houston's local Pacifica radio station (don't know if they're still affiliated or not) has a really interesting show on Sundays where prisoners' families call the station and get to send a message to "Billy Bob" over the air. I used to listened to it with my two sons before they left the nest. Hope it taught them how unlucky some ba$tard$ are.

parrots?
please tell me more.

before the hummers became my interest, 3 macaws, a moluccan, sulpher crested, gold mantel rosella, rose breasted conjur, grey check, 22 mated pairs of exotic finches, 12 exotic canary's, and a couple of keets.

outside we had fantails, frill backs and a pair of nuns, plus some assorted doves.

people tell us we are obsessive compulsive, but i think not. when our last siamese gertie, finished her life, we have not had a siamese cat.
of course toby's siamese colored netherland dwarf, fills the vacancy.

In my earlier years working at Safeway on Stella Link, after work on Sunday mornings I would sit in the 66 Galaxy, light up a cigar, and listen to the blues on KPFT in the parking lot.

Goree state penetentary for women in Huntsville, TX. You, Huntsvill, Goree, figure it out!

Rick

I have a total of 30 Birds. 4 are pets, Double Yellow Headed Amazon, Quaker or Monk Parrot, Timneh African Grey, and 1 little Budgie.
The rest are breeders to bring me money for fun things like cigars. I have Alexandrines(the largest of the parrokeet family),
Green Quakers,
Blue Quakers,
Half Moon Conures,
Cockatiels,
and African Senegal Parrots

The African Grey sees me smoke cigars so he thinks they're food since they go in my mouth. He's chomped a couple when I wasn't looking.

Mr Mean, ever try a Prison Girl?he,he.......
