I hope this is not a completely ignorant question, but I just started my collection and purchased an El Grande humi with about 6 different cigars, should I unwrap each cigar?, I have heard they could mix flavors over time?!

yes, unwrap them. Then close the lid, shake the box, and try to put them back together. We call this "newbie pick-up", after my favorite card game..

you deserve a serious answer.

joking aside, there are enough differences of opinion, you can do whatever you want and it is ok.

personally i would leave the cello on for the reason you mentioned.

what follows my post may be nothing, because everyone has been down this road, or some funny remarks.

I prefer to unwrap them. Of course you do have to keep in mind that thing about the flavor and all, so your first trick is to buy about 8 more humi's (one for each of your "favorites," then stock up on tupperware for the occaisional "stray" that you will have. When I leave the house, I usually take 4-5 of my favorites for the day, and then 1-2 giveaways for those that like to bum off of me (the "bum" cigars come out of the tupperware).

I used to unwrap them but never found anything, just a pile of cellophane and tobacco... I guess it was some sort of sick joke or something.

Thanks to the few of you who answered, and the rest of you, I expected slack for the question but I deserve it being the newbie, but I will still send you a few samples of a cigar I picked up from a friend name Bill, they smell like fish but don't worry, just enjoy!

MMMMM Flounder maduro, rolled in Panko mix.

I unwrap everthing, take the cap off the tube, mix and match, and on occasion, have been known to lick a few. But only the ones I trade.
