Have seen them on other websites and forums and they seem to get good reviews... what does everyone think

Have also thought about one of those Cigar Oaisis devices... any thoughts?

Wow!! Climax beads if they really work, then I want some for my wife. Then I won't have to go to sleep feeling guilty.

FYI - they are called Climmax Beads.

Do a search here, and will will find a lot of good info on them between the babel, threadjacking and sexual innuendos ... ;-)

Actually I do have some but not long enough to have an opinion. Loosen up dude get comfortable with yourself. I would hate to see you drown if it sprinkles.

Actually, I'm a really a pretty laid back person ... and I am very comfortable with myself and my beliefs.

I guess you missed the meaning of the 'winky-smiley' face at the end of my post ...

I just came in from watering my garden and smoking an Astral TVS. Some think they are one-dimensional cigars, but I have a real gravitation towards anything with a sun-grown wrapper.

Slim... searched but only came up with 2 other postings... are they similar to the Cigar Savor DryMistat tubes? I have had good luck with them but curious if the Climmax Beads are better??

Climmax beads are a modified amorphous silica gel that actively absorbs and releases moisture along a hysterisis loop, maintaining a 70% relative humidity environment. It works using only water (distilled ... no PG).

I have never used the tubes you are taling about, but I'm almost positive that it's similar, but not the same product.

The Premierâ„¢ Media is now offered separately from their Premierâ„¢ humidifiers. It's great for those who own home-made Igloodors and larger cabinet-sized humidors who want greater flexibility.

The media is only sold in 1 pound increments (though JJ knows of a place that sells smaller qyantities), and will provide precise humidification control at 5 cubic feet per pound.

The media works best in a water-tight, open top container and placed inside your humidor. The media will maintain a constant 70 - 72% humidity and is re-conditioned by adding distilled water over the top of the media.

I think it's the best out there, and has a very large following. Everyone I know (including myself) swears by it ...

Cost is just under $30 a pound ...

Good infomation Slim.
jgjam: Run a search on msn or google for "climmax beads for cigars". You will be rewarded with a number of hits, one or two of which sell the media in 1/2 pound and 1/4 pound quantities. Good luck.

...yeah...what e-chick said...i really like slippery ;-)...All seriousness aside, I've found that just getting some of that oasis foam and whatever type of container you need to fit whatever situation it is (ok now...), you can make just about any type of humi-device you want for pennies, especially if you get your PG by the gallon!

E-Chick - why do you always get involved in every cigar post with a kinky euphanism? -LOL .... hey - also ... we're going to either the Zoo or the Wild Animal Park tonight ... and we're going to check out an all you can eat Sushi Bar on I-78 either today or tomorrow - if you & Mike are up for it - lemme know ... take care ... (did I just threadjack?)

Jimmy: Sunday (today) no set dinner plans...Monday, busy...Tuesday??? That all you can eat sushi is a great place - if it's the one I know, Onami in the mall.

I only read threads that catch my eye and if that happens to be kinky ones, well, oh well! I'm not the author, just the reactor, lol!

And speaking of ah, along the lines of kinky and humidity...has anyone else notice that KY Liquid's main ingredients are GLYCERIN AND PROPYLENE GLYCOL? I was just thinking of squirting a little of that in my humidor...HAHAHAHAH!

But seriously, I wonder if it would work and what the results would be if you were to smoke a cigar after it absorbed any of the other ingredients listed???

:)

So that's how Bill did it and was still able to smoke it afterwards .... (yes - the one on the Mall on 78 East ... I'm still trying to figure out exactly where it is though - hoping it's on the way to the Wild Animal Park ......
