Tomorrow, we are going to merge the Politics and Sports boards into a new Miscellaneous board. Don't get nervous, the existing posts won't be lost. That should make the stale Sports board seem a little less lonely. - gonz

I always kinda thought the Politics board was misnamed...

Since Rick Maven posts approximately 20% of all new posts I thought it should be renamed in his honor! LOL!!

Cricket:

1. Singer on a 60s TV series (bonus points for naming the actress who played her and the name of the show)

2. Member of the Buddy Holly band of the 60s (bonus points for the name of any Crickets band member

3. Game no one understands played by limeys (bonus points for naming the tools of the game and the object of the game

4. Double bonus points for the name of the voice of Jiminy Cricket in the Disney animated feature

Good move, Gonz. No more highjacking the cigar posts.

#4 Voice of Jiminy is the same guy who played Fibber Mcgee in movies and on radio.

#1 Can't quite place the show but my crystal ball is showing Judy Carne.

#2 Rick is of course correct,Waylon Jennings was a Cricket.

#3 The Limey game has a bat a ball and wickets. The rules are, I think, made as you go and is only over when everybody concurs they have had enough.

Her co-star in the series was Edd. I think I want Sandra for myself.

X, Fibber was played by Jim Jordan. He owned a ton of land (the Jordan Ranch)in the Agoura Hills area in northwest L.A. county, where I used to live. Fibber's wife, Molly, was played by Jim's wife, Marian. Yes, I remember listening to that bunch from Wistful Vista. I can still hear Molly saying "Heavenly days!" and "'tain't funny, McGee."

Of course, I can't remember what I had for breakfast this morning.

Sandra Bernhart. Isn't she the one that Madonna did back in the 80s. Guess she would be better than Sara Bernhart.

And if someone thinks a cigar post would not end up in this fashion they are living in a fantasy world.
One of the sages here once wrote something like this: In a couple of posts the question is answered and then the thread goes in a direction that can only be calculated by Einstien.
