Home of the Masters. No chicks allowed, now NOW is looking to take legal and/or financial action.

Should a private club be FORCED to admit a specific type of member?

Then why can't we MEN get "free drinks" on Friday nights at local pubs and get our cars washed for 1/2 price on Wednesdays at the carwash?

Better yet, let's all go out and sign up for memberships at "Curves for Women" .... the workout gyms for 'women only......

It's only fair ....

This NOW bullsh-t is really aiming at the wrong thing! Nancy Ireland, NOW **** and spokesperson, doesn't even understand the process at the Masters for qualifying for the tournament, let alone what it would require to gain membership in the most exclusive club in America! She is aiming at a Grizzley bear with a pea shooter! What a joke! Charlie

Several years ago there was an all girls college here in California that considered going co-ed. There were massive protests by the students along with crying and nashing of teeth over the prospect. Their reasoning was that the enviornment was condusive to girls becoming women and being better prepared to face the world. I'll bet some of those women are members of NOW and active in the Agusta issue. I'll just bet!!!

[Tongue in cheek] First blacks, now women!...

Ok, so I did infiltrate THIS boys club, but some things just should NEVER be messed with and the Masters is one of 'em. I'm not for co-ed sports.

I think NOW *sucks*...or should I say *bumps* as in bumpin' boxes or *munches* as in carpet munchers, LOL...someone gave these bulldykes way to much political clout IMFO! It definitely is a man's world and should stay as such...FORE!

Now isn't against the Masters except for the fact it is played at Augusta. LOL I think they thought they could get the Masters moved. HMMMMMM isn't NOW the same group of women that supported Klinton's raping and sexual harassment of women?

Can a man join NOW? I think one of us should be keeping an eye on this particular women's club.

E-Chick

don't you mean how deep is your vagina,
and how high up your thigh.

i always avoid the innuendos, but songs have a way of creeping into my brain every so often.

Nothing pi$$es me off more than to have an established PRIVATE organization be forced to comply with politically correct orders from the government. Augusta should just ignore any order and remain status-quo. What are the courts going to do, send in the National Guard to take over the club?

I'm a member of the local Elks club. It has been traditionally men, but recently a local woman forced her way into the club to prove a point. I am not misogynistic at all. I have a wife and 3 daughters...I better not be. But some things are just best well enough alone. Since the "lady" forced her way into the club, membership has declined. Smoking has been banned from inside the club. The club has been near bancruptcy since we have been sponsoring a bunch of special interest groups we have never historically supported.

There are plenty of places for women to join and have to themselves or to join which have historically accepted women. I can't stand it when someone views it as a challenge to disrupt an organization "just because". Sorry, but everyone needs their space and place and a good place to be with others. I wouldn't dare walk in to a women's club meeting and push my way in the door.

As for racial bias. That is another thing completely. There is no place, anywhere, anyhow, for race to be a disqualifying factor. Apples and oranges. Gender separation is a reality. We are two totally different creatures, physiologically and genetically. Sorry, we look similar and can breed, but we behave and think differently. Therefore our need to belong to a peer group that is gender specific has always been a part of human history. Ladies...just let us have our little "No Girlz" clubs and you can have yours.

Good question E-chick. If I say my vagina is an outtie can I get in(heh, double entendre)? Must I shave my mustache or will I fit right in (another one, hah)?

Rickamaven: I don't remember where I heard that phrase, but maybe it was Howard Stern asking it of that he/she wrestler (formerly) named Chyna or China? I think he ask him/her about how *long* was his/her vagina....I still think she's a he!

Rayder: You are right on...'nuff said.

Xrundog: You nut! Just how big of an outtie is it? LOL! No shaving necessary, moustaches are just fine...I'm need the first answered before I decide if you'll fit right in. HAH!
