I'm happy to say that I placed my first two bids last week and actually won something [aplause, aplause, aplause]!

Now, maybe I'll see what all of your credit card gripping is about! I can justify anything! No hiding receipts necessary! LOL!

Cool beans, M ...

Did you get cigars?? or was it a cap, a shirt or other merchandise?

I'm dying to find out and if it was cigars, to learn what they are!!

Believe it or not, I'm truly interested.

Stuff I like, stuff I need...

I'm always looking for bball caps for the convertible. I won a navy Pimp Stick cap...woo-hoo! Now I can let my pimp juice flow (like it wasn't,lol)!

And since Jimmy@ctconnect ruined me with his Sportsmen Reserve...I had to have a few...a five pack...

That's it, nothing HUGE, just had to finally pop that cherry!

:)

I've got one of the "smiley face" caps ... shirt too ... love 'em and the remarks I get when it's noticed ...

The Sportsman is a pretty decent cigar for the $$$ ... I rather like both their torps and their robustos ...

Not a bad start at all

it is a cooler chest. some people jazz it up by standing it on it's side and making shelves with spanish ceder. if you search the picture post, you will find some pictures of them that some of the guys have made. you might have to go back a moth or so.

When Rick says go back a moth or so, he means the dreaded cigar moth. Far worse than the cigar beatle (Ringocephaliphagus), it attacks cigars that are not stored in coolerdors lined with spanish moss. Rick is such a kidder.

Jon ... flex-fit CAO hats?? ... are these genuine Panamas or are they a baseball-style cap?

SteveS - The hats were from our CAO 'Diamond Collection' hats, i.e., flex-fit baseball-style caps that replicated three baseball "teams:" CAO Rosados, CAO Oscuros, and CAO Smokes...

Enjoy! =)

JON, you could have cut through the red tape and have sent each one of us one of those hats. Keith is just gonna use them to impress the customer service girls.

lol, Jon ...

I know that ... BUT ... one of my little pet peeves is that no one seems to take recognition of the fact that "caps" and "hats" are not interchangeable words that mean the same thing ... "Hats" have brims all the way around ... "caps" have brims only in the front ...

I know it's a pretty fine point and scarcely the sort of thing that one should make an issue of, but you see, until my generation, my dad's family was in the men's hat business going back as far as we know about to 18th century ancestors in Ireland ...

my grandfather immigrated to this country, but brought the business with him, including some of the hand tools he'd used in the old country ... he did absolutely beautiful work on Panama hats too ...

SteveS - I understand completely; I'm guilty of doing just that from time to time...

I'm a HUGE cap AND hat collector - sometimes I think that if I wasn't in the cigar industry, I'd be designing caps/hats or working for a company like NewEra.

Out of curiousity, what was the name of the company your family owned?

Does the Pope wear a cap or a hat? How about a yalmukah...no rim or brim. I looked for a rim on my fez but couldn't find one. I don't know if its a hat or cap! Okay..I have one of those Northern Exposure hats with the fold-down ear pieces AND a front brim. So it is a convertable hat or a hat-cap...maybe a chap?
