I sent Keith 3 cigars for him to try and specifically told him not too send me anything. The crazy man sent me a package with 9 cigars, I think he's having side(pun intended) effects from his surgery. Keith your too kind!! Thanks and I'll get back to you on setting up a trade. chris

and that over the shoulder profile that you posted, are you looking for a career in movies again.

i guess not many people know he was in the movies a few syears ago. small part, but the journey of a thousand miles begins ....

and what are YOU talking about Rick!?...I sent you some cigars because you were kind enuff to record a copy of a movie my mom and I have been searching for for literally more than ten years!!!...(My mom and I were extras in it a long time ago and the movie only had a very small release)...My mom really appreciated it...We did see ourselves in a great scene...We walked right across the camera for about nine seconds!
and to top it off, Rick recently sent me several cuban cigar lighters and a cigar pen!!...He also sent me some discs that had cigar screen savers too!...Yet another class act in my book (despite his political shortcomings...LOL)

It makes me sad to report this. I hate to, but this thread forces me to: rookie has never sent me any cigars. Of course, I am a forgiving soul, and redemption is always available . . .

That's the thing Rick, I wasn't actually trading with Keith either. I sent him a gratis package so he could try a couple of different smokes. Then he bombed me with three times as many cigars, but rest assured I'll smoke them, but grudgingly! ;-)

Now, I think that el granting rookie a chance for personal redemption is a generous thing to do and I'm sure everyone will admire el for being so gracious ... but it brings up what I think is a good point and I just GOTTA ask in the hopes that maybe someone can 'splain it to me ...

For some time now, when newbies announce themselves on here, I mention in a clear, but non-threatening manner, that they should send a 'please welcome me' cigar to ALL the participants on the board ... I try to encourage them to send decent smokes to all of us too, so that no newbie will try to unload any Chuck Norris specials on anyone 'cept DaveyG who claims to like 'em ...

(which reminds me ... where IS Davey these days, anyway?).

But, back on topic (sorry to digress) ... why do you suppose it is, that despite the fact that I offer newbies a chance for redemption with EVERYONE, many of those who stand to benefit by my selfless efforts tend to chide me?

I believe Davey is spending some time in therapy and enrolled in a Dogrockets Anonymous program.

Hopefully, he has all of our support. Speaking as an active member, myself...he'll surely need it.

I think rookie is afraid of me. Maybe he saw me on the picture post, I don't know. I asked him for his snail mail a while ago and he declined. I'll catch up to him someday,.....look out Kieth, I will find you!
