I don't smoke those little "cigars". I like the brand though. Try a Ligero for a REAL smoke!

I've had one La Flor Dominicana Culebra ... and really enjoyed it. It's a fun smoke to share with a couple of friends and a beer or two.

I was in a trade where I got the real deal ... a Partagas Culebra. I was gvien the twist, and a single ... and I smoked the single. Man ... that was tasty!

Just waiting for the right moment (and the right couple of friends) to fire up the twist ...

Never had this type of cigar. I take it that you are not supposed to lite the bundle. Then why sell em this way? Does the owner get the straight one and the friends get the bent ones? I woulda tried to smoke em at once. Watched that Ripleys guy with the cigarettes too much I guess.

They're really a novelty thing now, but they were originally created for cigar manufacturer employees - they were given a ration, twisted together to distinguish them from other cigars, I guess a way to easily distinguish from stolen cigars. I'm sure someone else here can give you better details.

I never had one. I saw one being smoked at the local cigar bar. Some half drunk guy looked at the Culebra being smoked and said (very loud) "Hey man! What in the f$#k is wrong with your cigar, dude? You sit on it?" I think the bartender cut him off after that.

I have had one given to me by JCrimmins. Fast burning but great taste. Highly recommended.

So Jim sent Slim a single from a Culebra? My guess is he misplaced one of his Antonio y Cleopatra panatelas, only to find it hours later crumpled under his rump, and said to himself "I wonder who would believe this was a Culebra?"

LOL @ Cliff ... I just read your post. Fortunately, the 'twist' is still sealed in its foil pouch, with the band on the outside ...

BTW ... that Antonio y Cleopatra panatela was quite good! It must have been the slight essence of 'butt crack' that did the trick ...
