DOH!!! You almost gave me a coronary!

What is up for auction right now is the Flor de Oliva Grand Maduro Perfecto ...

Not the same as the Oliva 'O' Maduro ... which is available in the same sizes as the Oliva 'O' Sun-Grown, but with a maduro wrap[per and a 'blue' satin band ... which due to the high demand (backordered for at least 6 weeks), and the fact that they are a new release, I doubt CB/CI will be able to get ...

... at least not for awhile.

I'd be interested in knowing how many boxes they got of each of these ...

... and how long they will last (not very long, I suspect). I know for a fact that they are in short supply.

Seriously ... get them while you are able!

YIPPIE! I can stop doing the pee-pee dance!!!

When I got home from work today, there was a package sitting on my front porch ... with a box of 'O' Ole Maduros in it ...

... smoking my 'first one ever' right now as I type ... and it's everything (and more) of all that's been said about them. Unbelieveable complex and delicious flavors abound from this 5-year aged maduro wrapped Nicaraguan puro.

I recently picked up the Sterling 150 Display Humidor, which is now stock full of the Oliva 'O' ... one box each of the Oasis and Ole 'red band' sun-grown (and a couple of the Ovation) ... and now, the box of Maduro Ole.

When I get it arranged 'just right', I'll take a photo and put it in the picture post. It sure is a sight to behold ... and with the glass top display case, I can look at them any time I want without disturbing the humidity level one bit.

It doesn't get any better than this ...

JJ ... I just checked, and sure enough, there they are! They must have read my post ... and snuck it in just 30 minutes after I placed my post.

Too funny ...

... get a box at cigarsinternational.com before they disappear.

You won't regret it, and worth every penny. The prices at CI beat every place I've looked on the web for the 'red band' line, and the maduro is claimed to fetch a higher price. They they've got them for the same price, which is incredible!

Sure ... I'd be interested in good deal. I usually pay about $15 less than CI sells them for, but I have to wait until I win it here to get it.

Please send me an E-Mail ...

I'm hoping to age some of these 'O' maddies, to see what changes humidor time gives them, but I don't think they are going to last.

I hate it when a cigar is so good out of the box, you can't leave them alone ...

And just a note to all you 'overbidders' out there ... the bid I have going on the 5-pack right now for the Orion Maduro at $27, is what CI has them at retail.

So go ahead and bump me, I double dare you ... LOL!

Slim, I guess you were so happy doing the pp dance you forgot to mention the cool box those come in. The nats use a square box right? They are at the local humidor so I bought an ole and an orion. I also picked up a CAO anniversary extreme for some reason. Heading to the titty bar to try the ole soon.

Oh yeah ... the box is one of the neatest looking boxes I've seen in a long time. I had a real time taking the shrink wrap off ... I didn't eant to open it.

What saddened me even more, is I knew I had to get them in my humi right away, and it damn near broke my heart. They look really good in the box, so you guys with the cabinets that hold your boxes will be really pleased with how this one looks ... very rich!

Guess I'll have to get into making cigar box accessories now, as this one would make one killer purse!

I have a limited cigar budget so I will be buying by the 5 pack not the box. I'd like to get a toilet seat box for my smoking room, so if anyone wants to get rid of their box let me know and I'll make you a deal. e-mail cigarthegoodlife at yahoo dot com

I'm back. I'll do a review of the Ole while I can still type.
Cleared my palete by downing a Miller quart from the C store.(they were out of Boones Farm)The construction was firm. It is short so I toasted it pretty good. The first two puffs were very harsh. (reminded me of a re-lit Diesel that spent a day in the sun) It did not leave a harsh taste. It turned good right after that. A pretty strong smoke that had a very distinct cigar taste. The harshness never returned. SteveS outta like these. Like Slim said it is full of flavor.
The draw was very easy and it produced a lot of thin smoke. I sat next to the corner of the main stage. I blow the smoke up so it does'nt bother people but a vent kept blowing it onto the corner of the stage and it drifted to the front. It did a fine job of enhancing the light show. Very cool.
The first 1/4 burned fast so I slowed down a bit. I put it down for a couple of dances from Amanda. When she was done it was still lit and ready to please me some more. It ended up lasting an hour and a half. Pretty long for its size. The big screen had football highlights from days gone by.
I think I had sensory overload. Great way to spend a mid-afternoon. Bouncing boobies, football highlights and a fine cigar. (sounds like a typical night at E-Chicks)

Thanks for the heads up on this one guys!

I knew they wouldn't last ... and it looks like they are no longer '10-14 days', but now 'Out of Stock' ...

Like I said, the demand for these are so great, Oliva said (through a reliable source) that it maybe be 6 weeks, or even months, before they will have enough to release them again.

I hope everyone jumped (and it looks like many did) at the chance to score a box of these ...

One review I read on the Oliva Maduro, is they taste like a cross between the Hemingway WOA Maduro and the PAM Maduro ... and I agree!

Picked up a couple of these at The Humidor in San Antonio today. Smoked a robusto. Good, but overpriced. It was quite strong so some of you will love it. I'd rather have a Prensado Oscuro anyday. I was more impressed with the new Joya de Nicaragua Antan~o. That puppy was strong, but tasty. Made me woozy for awhile.

I picked up several Orions a few weeks back and smoked one of them on my b'day ... the others have been napping in the humi since then ... after all the talk about these in the past few days, I got weak and have lit another one ... given 40-some days of humi time, a lack of single malt imbibement on my part, and no cigars smoked preceeding it, this cigar gets even better marks from me than it already was getting ... ahhh ... 'nuther puff ... this is living.

got this Orion reduced to something less than Oasis length now ... when she gets home tomorrow, MrsS is going to raise hell about the cigar smell in the house 'cause I've got this baby here in my home office with me ... remind me tomorrow how much I enjoyed this 'gar tonight so it'll be worth listening to her, will you?

At the time I wrote that post, the cigar had been reduced to something less than Oasis, but it was still more than an Ole ... for the sake of greater precision, we'll calll it an Oasis Jr. ... lol

I had that puppy burning from a few minutes before 8 until about 9:40 ... taste was lingering until near 11 when I went to bed and instead of sheep, I was counting "O"s as I drifted off to sleep

SteveS,
I use Ozium air freshener, and my wife never knows I have smoked in the new house. I do leave the door to my office closed and the window open. This makes it easier to get the smell of cigars out.

Right now they are still under retail, at a shop where Rookie just bought a few in Illinois.

And look at how rare they seem to be ... it's all supply and demand.

Heck, I was just told that there are a lot of tobacconists that will mark-up cigars due to 'rarity' ... on top of all the other taxes involved.

Just don't buy at a tabocconist that gouges you. These were a few bucks less at CI when they were in stock.

Define qouge ...

In CA I would have to pay 67% sales tax, 8.25 sales tax on top of MSRP, and out in the sticks of where I live ... tobacco shops are few and far between. A lot of the 'top end' cigars never make it out this way.

A few dollars more for convience, is still far less than I would have to to pay where I live (at what they are goinng for now) ... and finding them on the internet isn't that easy either.

redneck1 -- try one now, and le the other sit for a few months if you can. They are supposed to get better with age, or so I hear. But being relatively new, I don't kow how that would be known ... LOL!

Bottom line ... I know you will like them.

Aren't these cigars supposed to be aged 5 years already? How is one more month gonna help?
