Went to dinner at the home of some good friends last night ... as we smoked an after-dinner cigar, my friends teen-aged son inquired what the most expensive non-Cuban cigar on the market ...

I named a couple of pretty pricey sticks, but after the fact, have thought of others and am sure there are some I've not thought of yet ...

Curiousity's got me now ... what am I forgetting?

Yup, PAM Milleniums, got a couple @$25 ea. I hear, but haven't seen that the new Padron 1926 is up there also. After I got lucky and got a Fuente Untold Story for $12, I found one on the menu at a restaraunt in Austin for $100! (Of course they would sell a bottle of Boone's Farm for $80)

I have seen the I've a Big Bottom Cabinet Vintage Reserva Doble Corona Maduro with a pig tail and flaovred with the knee drainage of Fuente's gardner sell for $84 at a 7-11, but only $76 if you buy a large nachos. Otherwise consider Ploppy's Naked Torpedo with a Siberian Catfish skin-grown wrapper, a favorite of Buzz Aldrin. M. Lewinsky I heard will be introdcuing a premium soon called the Pubic Sponge Bath Dance.

...Opus X. Paid $12 for Petit Lancero, $17 for Perfecxion No. 2 and Super Belicoso. After smoking one I'm still not sure they were worth that. I'm cheap and easily pleased. I can be happy with a 60 cent smoke that draws well and has even a hint of taste.

You guys are getting hammered!

Opus X's, when available are MSRP with no goughing.

Padron's(even PAM's!), same thing! I think I've paid 14 for PAM's.

Only thing is that my local shop has daily limits...when nobody else is in the shop!

RobertParrot, I will answer for Tailgater, since I agree with him and rank Tamboril along with Big Butt, Lone Wolf, Hamiliton House and other Sheepcr-p sticks out there! However, it is not as bad as Lone Wolf rockets!

Most expensive in California seems to be the PAM's as stated above by several posters.

Charlie

PS I am praying the Chiefs will hang on and beat Dolphins today as Tony Gonzalez just caught a 42 yard TD toss to take them to 31-16 lead in Arrowhead! I am going to light up an Indian Tabac Teepee for the Chiefs (hope I do not jinx em)!

OPus "A" has a MSRP of $25 usually sell for $50. THe "TTA" which was released with funds going to 9/11 was a $50 MSRP. I saw a IBTL go for over $700.

Most expensive cigar

A few vintages(name the brand of qualitiy) sold in very exclusive cigar shops, one in London comes to mind, is where I believe you will find that pricey noncuban cigar. Here you can get aged Cubans as well as nonCubans from years ago.Sticks can sell from 40.00 dollars on upwards to hundreds of dollars per stick.
As to the available recently produced sticks
From least to most(depending on size)

Cohiba (Red Dot)/Don Carlos/Ashton VSG
LaUnica T.O.L.
Opus X / Graycliffe/Padron Ann.
Partagas Limited reserve
Partagas Ann.
etc...
I know that Opus X sells for way to much online.I never by Opus except for when I go to Miami so their position might be a bit prejudice.I just bought a Fuente Fuente Opus Num. 2 for around eighteen in Gainesville of all places, on line I have seen them for as much as thrty+ dollars, that is insane and would put them beyond most cigars listed here.

When looking at the lists here it appears that price depends on where you buy the cigar, which makes sense.I would have to believe that overall the Opus X is the most sought after nonCuban in the world. And though perhaps not the most pricey when compared to limited production special occasion type cigars ,I believe overall for its production size and availability year after year it is perhaps the most expensive seeing that demand and cost differ from place to place. Regardless I give the Opus X as a line my best rating.
