this was taken before he signed the ban on tradeing with cuba. He had a guy get him about 1,000 UPMANN the day before he signed it and that was all he ever liked to smoke.

Much like his relationship with Marilyn Monroe, JFKs use of Cuban cigars was a rather well known "secret" at the time ... he did not like to have his picture taken while wearing his glasses or while smoking, since he felt they were "weaknesses" of a sort ... as a result, lots of folks are aware of Marilyn, but not of his need for glasses or his prediliction for Cuban smokes ...
