When I look at a message, the image appears as a broken link, hence I can't see anything. The only way I am able to see the image is if I save it as a jpg file, then I can view it from my computer, can you fix this gonz? I use Netscape Communicator v. 4.02, so I don't think it's a problem with my browser.

My wife uses Netscape, and always has some kind of problem or another ... especially with graphic files. I use Explorer 5.5 and haven't had a problem yet! Check your settings to make sure everything is setup the way you want it.

I've been struggling with Netscape standards for 3 years. They always seem to make things more difficult than they should be. I generalized the code so you can post any type of image you wish. This works beautifully with Internet Explorer, but not Netscape.

I have Netscape Communicator 4.7 and the pictures don't work. I'm going to try a few things today and will let you know. Microsoft has a better product and I truly recommend using Internet Explorer if you're not already.

I re-iterate, download Internet Explorer NOW. I've been trying to download the latest Netscape browser for 2 hours and my status bar still shows 4 hours left.

I finally re-installed the latest version of Netscape and still no dice. They force programmers to put an extension on the image (such as .jpg or .bmp or .gif) where Microsoft does not. Until I find a work-around, only users of Internet Explorer can view the posts. Sorry. I'll come up with something.

Of course, NS forces you to specify the extension on a file.

In case you hadn't heard, there have been many, many "exploits" or computer hacking techniques that take advantage of the fact that IE doesn't require this. I'm not going to debate the technical details or relative security of NS vs. IE, but as a general programming rule "strong typing" [specifying data types ) is a good idea unless you know *exactly* what your doing -- and most users simply don't. Why should they? They aren't programmers, and htey don't want to be

I have used Netscape since 95 and find it works great. I post pictures on ebay, the Truck Trader, etc. Also, folks who receive jpegs or GIFs from me have no problems viewing images I send.

I'm not pushing Netscape...just disappointed I can view the images available. Come on Gonzo, break the code.

Long ashes to ya.

I will not use IE, can't stand it. Used it back in 95 and switched to Netscape because IE took over all my file associations, and I've never switched back. Not planning to do so anytime soon. Thanks for your efforts gonz.

To all you non-IE users, it's fixed. Found a work-around, let me know if you have any more issues.
