Being relatively new to the board I am not too sure how many fellow smokers are near the Boston area. I was just wondering if anyone in the area might be interested in putting a Herf together. Not really sure what it takes to get one going but I am always open to suggestions... Any comments ??

I live in South Shore, wouldn't mind a Herf, I'm not sure either as to what to do, other than smoke, drink, talk cigars and smoke some more, lol,.

Any suggestions on a good bar to partake in the festivities?? One of the only bars in Boston that I know of where you can smoke cigars is the 3 Chairs down by the waterfront..

What's the name of the Brew Pub out there by the Fleet Center? I think they are cigar friendly....plus they have some sweet suds.

I'm over the bridge down the Cape.
Hyanis has Puff the Magic, which is truly sweet.
A friend of mine has been to the Havana House in Northboro and says it's good.
BB Wolfs, outside of Fenway has decent BBQ, plenty of beers on tap, and is cigar friendly.
Tailgating outside Gillette Stadium is also a great place...
Count me in. [email protected]

hey all,
Sorry I know I started this thread and haven't exactly added to it in a while, but things have been a little crazy with work. Company's getting bought out and we're scrambling to get things done before the close. SO if you guys come up with something just by all means let me know I'm up for anything...

eze, you're thinking of Commonwealth, unfortunately they stopped making their own beer about a year ago. What they sell now is run of the mill and not worth the trip

Didn't Commonwealth Brewery turn into yet another Fish Joint?

It was Boston Beer Works I was referring to. I was in there last spring before the Boston/New Jersey NBA eastern finals. They have pool tables and a pretty extensive scotch selection also.

You are so right! I always forget about that place for some reason. First time I went there the service was bad, the help uninformed (what do you mean "cask conditioned?"), so maybe it's repressive forgetting!
The old Commonwealth became Commonwealth Fish and Brewery, though the menu didn't change that I could tell. But they don't brew that wonderful beer, so I don't go there anymore. Apparently few do, the couple that came in after we did got up and left when they found out their favorite brew wasn't being made anymore.
