Would a Democratic candidate running for Govenor tell a Democratic President to Take his Endorsement and Shove it.

I guess maybe cause his father is a judge and has always been getting him out of trouble.

Actually, Obama refused to endorse the guy and that was his response.
Speculation abounds on "Why" Obama won't endorse the Democrat.
A. The Independent candidate is actually more liberal.
B. The democrat candidate has actually sided with the GOP on occassion
C. Obama doesn't like the cut of his jib

OK.
I made that last one up.
I just like that saying. It should be used at least once per day.

No need to speculate. Chafee endorsed Obama in the election, Caprio did not. Caprio is more conservative than the GOP candidate (Robitaille), nevermind the Independent (Chafee - who is a lib). Caprio attends the RNC. Caprio openly plans to take on the public unions (private unions support him). Caprio is an R in D's clothing. Not hard to imagine why he didn't get the endorsement - he's just not a D and everyone in RI knows it.

Not sure why he felt compelled to stay a D, we've elected R governors more often than not.

Perhaps having the audacity to tell the President to "shove it" is a good enouhgh reason.
In any event, the reason I heard on the news is that the President and the R candidate are personal friends.

Not the R, the Independent (and now Governor) Linc Chafee. The R, John Robitaille, is not friends with Obama. Chafee used to be an R but disaffiliated after losing his Senate re-election bid a few years ago.

They wanted to remove the term "Plantations" from Rhode Islands official name.

Buncha weak minded, hyper-sensitive liberals.

Maybe they should instead try to ban the word from our vocabulary. Then nobody would ever be offended.
