newest batch of losers, fools, and criminals? Do you REALLY expect anything to be any different from the batch that got thrown out? If so, you are the biggest fool of them all. Republican, Democrat...it doesn't matter. They've all sold the American soul for a few shiny baubles.

I voted for "No One"

I wrote that in all my votes. I had no dog in this hunt. I no longer think it matters. I sit and watch this country tear itself apart over trivial matters and I'm frankly starting to find it funny. You will experience exactly the same thing tomorrow as you experienced yesterday. Good luck.

What would I like to see? I'd like to see this new batch of republicans actually adhere to their supposed principles.

What do I expect to see? More of the same BS.

The Elephants have learned their lesson. The are really going to follow the will of the people!... UNtil the PAC get to them and they'll get electoral amnesia.
They'll p-iss it away in two years.

They are politicians. They can't help themselves. It's like telling a dog to not sniff ****t.

I expect that, at the very least, the federal government will at least stop the trend of increasing government spending.

Gidlock can be a good thing, especially if it shuts down the government for a month or two.

I look at it this way: for all of the whining by leftists about the TEA party, the fact is that many Americans can see the obvious. There is WAY too much government spending, there is WAY too much interference by the government in our lives, and the debt is piling up faster than ever before. No one is stopping the flood of illegal immigrants crossing the border. The current party in power seemed to think that this was just all fine and dandy.

So, Americans replaced them. Not angry Republicans, nor Angry Democrats but plain Americans.

And if the Republicans f**k up, they'll get replaced just as fast., just like in 2006 and 2008. I'm under the impression that many people voted for Idi Amin Jr. and his crowd thinking that the man actually meant what they thought he said when he talked about fundamental change. Unfortunately, they weren't listening very closely. Their version of change was to make us another socialist democracy like Greece.

The upside is that most people in this country see the imminent danger of the deficit and illegal immigration to stay hopping mad for quite some time until these things actually get fixed. Anybody who has actually balanced a checkbook could see the obvious problems. Americans have gotten used to being on the top of the heap, and aren't quite ready to let someone else be the "world leader," especially if the current pack or potential candidates are little more than communist dictatorships.

People who are pessimistic about the results are choosing not so see what's really going on. The dogs are finally getting beaten into submission.

The beuty of it all is that we are all in this together equally.
Now, let's get back to the polarization, name-calling and lack of civil discourse!

Jade,
No disrespect intended, but that's a defeatists attitude which by definition is embraced by losers.

Rick. I agree about the BS pronounciation. It should be "baughn-ner" not "bay-ner". Not "bone-ner" either, that would be funnier though.

As far as the skin color, maybe he eats too many carrots. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carotenosis

BTW, your guys got their asses kicked. Of course your two favorites (Pelosi and Reid) are still there.

This would be real nice CHANGE for starters:

>> (Reuters) - The next head of a key congressional committee overseeing banks and housing finance told Reuters on Wednesday that mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac should be in liquidation, not conservatorship.

With Republicans capturing control of the U.S. House of Representatives in Tuesday's elections, Spencer Bachus is expected to take over the chairmanship of the House Financial Services Committee, replacing Democrat Barney Frank.

In an interview, Bachus put reforming Fannie Mae (FNMA.OB) and Freddie Mac (FMCC.OB) at the top of his priorities list.

The two companies were seized by the government at the height of the 2007-2009 financial crisis and are now under direct government management. "They're in a conservatorhip and they really ought to be in a liquidation," Bachus said. >>

Since when did that start mattering to liberals? Hardly anyone in the Obama admininstration has ever worked in the private sector, I thought it would be a good thing to have no private sector experience, no? But alas, Boehner worked at a succesful plastics company in Ohio and worked his way up to its president.

Once again, a "tolerant and open minded" Liberal making fun of someone's appearance. If appearance is a qualifier for elected office, how did the mutants running congress for the past 4 years ever get elected in the first place?

Like Idi Amin Jr's varying shades of olive drab skin tone?
