additional Americans will receive healthcare coverage and costs will be lowered for most
Americans, but many of the goals are phased in over four years

Components of the bill

- Prevents insurance companies from denying coverage to individuals/family members with pre-
existing health conditions; a temporary plan is being developed to cover high-risk individuals with
pre-existing conditions until the full reforms go into effect in 2014

- Prevents insurance companies from placing lifetime limits on benefits

- Bans “rescission” so insurance companies can’t cancel coverage if individuals keep their policies
current or if they become ill

- An individual’s out-of-pocket healthcare expenses are capped

- Closes the “donut hole” (Part D) for Medicare prescription drug coverage (under Bush, Medicare
helped pay for drugs up to $2,600 and above $4,550, but individuals had to pay 100% of the costs
in between these amounts); now Medicare helps cover costs irrespective of the amount – seniors
will now pay only 25% of drug costs up to $4,550 and only 5% of drug costs above that amount

- In 2010, an emergency provision will offer seniors a $250 rebate on the costs incurred within the
“donut hole”

- Individuals living at or below the poverty line were eligible for healthcare under Medicaid, but by
2014 individuals/families living slightly above (making up to $14,404/$29,327) the poverty line will
also be eligible for benefits

- Individuals/families making less than $43,320/$88,200 per year will qualify for government
subsidies to help purchase health insurance

- All individuals must have health insurance or face a government fine; all large (over 50
employees) employers must offer health insurance to employees or pay a fine

- Small businesses can get a tax credit if they offer health care

- There are hardship exemptions if individuals can’t afford health insurance

- Families can keep their children in college on their plans through age 26

- Promotes health insurance “exchanges” so consumers can buy “wholesale”

- Creates consumer assistance offices to help consumers file complaints or appeal decisions from
insurance companies; beginning in 2011, insurance companies can no longer make excessive
rate hikes without justification and approval, and those doing so may be barred from participating
in new health insurance exchanges

Funding sources:

- Large employers (over 50 workers) that don’t offer health benefits will be charged a
$2,000/worker fee; if the employer offers coverage but employees instead purchase federally
subsidized insurance the fee is $3,000/worker receiving federal subsidies or $750/worker
(whichever is lower)

- Annual fees on pharmaceutical companies ($27 billion), health insurance companies ($60
billion), and medical device-makers ($20 billion)

- Annual penalties on individuals who do not have health insurance (up to a maximum of
$695/person)

families making $250,000+

- Insurance companies will be subject to a tax on each high-end insurance plan (so-called
“Cadillac” plans) they offer

Miscellaneous:

presidency is easily one of the most active in history." And Thanks to our friend Sherry Lou
Meeks.

Thank You Mr. President !

Wow. If only this comprehensive list was compiled BEFORE the Nov. massacre of Congress. You might have saved some careers!

Now put this all on a thumb drive - and then add 18 more months to it in 2012 - and Obama will be a shoe-in.

All that AND he personally assembled a Wal-Mart swingset in the White House back yard. I can picture him now, standing tall a-top the capital dome, overseeing the kids on the swingset, while Michelle kicks the piss out of the hired help as they pull weeds from the First Family Garden.

Wheeeeee!

So if an alcoholic "proposes" to quit drinking in 2011, that's as good as getting it done?

You have to love when the Looney Left list one of Obama's Accomplishments as an Urging of Congress. Oooooooh, I hope he wasn't too Stern with them.

On wow, Obama also began "Discussions with Congress for comprehensive immigration reform (2010)". I can see why the Liberals just Love him.

"Announced his intention to close the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay (2009)". Ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha.....How is that one working out for him?

"Cut $20 billion from federal budget and has pledged to cut at least this much every year (2010)". Wow, a whole 20 Billion. That is going to get rid of our Deficit in about a Million years.

"Signed a bill to extend unemployment benefits set to expire (2010)" Hey looked, Obama signed a Bill. First time I ever heard of a President doing this. His Grandma would be very proud of him.

Hey looked, Obama "Announced the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund". I guess when you are trying to put together a list of Accomplishments of the Biggest POS President ever, you have to fluff it up with every little thing you can find, or else it would have been a Pretty Short List.

Obama's accomplishments:

Created a huge deficit.

Got Americans pissed off enough to get rid of a lot of democrats in the House.

Looking like a huge anus.

You're right HD. I forgot about soccer.

I could spend days picking this stupid list apart. Lucky for me, it's the holidays, and I have a life.

This list looks like BO and Michelle have been up staying up late putting together the BHO Community Organizer Library "accomplishments" list.

Over the top of the entrance: "BHO - He did so much for you, he only needed one term!"

Rick, do you honestly expect anyone (of sane mind) to read 244 alleged "accomplishments" of Obama? I logically read none of them and just scrolled down to see what people were saying about your cut and paste nonsense. It's really sad...as this president bows to the Republicans on taxes (for the most part) here is Rick posting propaganda from who knows where as if everything is just hunky dory in Washington and the country these days, thanks to the Messiah. Further proof of your complete separation from reality.

I've seen Rick talk some pretty nasty stuff about Obama actually. Particularly his disappointment with him on several issues and initiatives. You seem to want to generalize EVERYBODY as some mythical figure that Fox News tells you to worry about. Liberals, Obama syncophants, whatever. Just a bunch of drivel that tells me that you don't think for yourself. That's sad actually. Rick is a good dude. He's been around the block a few times. He's pretty liberal in his views, and thank God for that. It's a balance, and it's needed. Somebody needs to take care of the likes of you, because you clearly can't think for yourself.

This crap, and politics in general, is like Newton's 3rd law...for every dem/rep article there's always an opposite reaction/article out there. I doubt Rick even reads 1/3 of the stuff (or any of the stuff) he cut/pastes. I get the impression that Rick finds this stuff and thinks, "hmmm, this would be some good chit to throw into the cbid fan." Then he sits back and puts another layer of tin foil on his hat.

Now that I've got that out of the way, I believe Rick is a good person, and more than anything loves his family. He just likes to treat us (his cbid family) like readheaded stepchildren. I can't stand the crap he posts 98.2% of the time, but I'd probably enjoy spending a brief moment smoking a cigar with him...I'd bring my own coffee, of course. Anxious

You may not have intended it, but this list illustrates why Obama is the worst president in modern history. First, who would compile these as serious accomplishments? Most of them are general statements of what the president has intended to do. Even though it was 244, it only took a few minutes to scan through because they were so repetitive in terms of impact. Overall, they're hardly "accomplishments". Second, who would repeat these? The man has had one serious "accomplishment" if you want to call the healthcare monstrosity an "accomplishment". Other than that, this is hardly the stuff of presidential lore. It's mainly low-level, low-impact executive orders or bland resolutions or intentions. This is like saying George Washington should be known for signing a resolution acknowledging the contributions of revolutionary war soldiers. Wow, that's why he was a great president!

Taxpayers Stuck With Billions In TARP Losses

While the Obama Administration laughably claims that its disastrous bank bailout has turned a profit, a federal investigation reveals this week that hundreds of small financial institutions can’t afford to repay the government loans and its costing U.S. taxpayers tens of billions of dollars.

This is hardly earth-shattering news considering the well-documented history of the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relieve Program (TARP), the president’s brilliant idea to rescue the nation’s ailing financial institutions. Instead, it’s turned out to be a troubling experiment of U.S. tax dollars with virtually no oversight.

In the last few years a variety of federal probes have documented that TARP is severely mismanaged and that its rife with waste and abuse. In fact, a 2009 TARP Inspector General report revealed that dozens of criminal investigations had been launched into the controversial bailout experiment and that the risk would only grow. The probes have centered on securities fraud, tax law violations, mortgage modification fraud and insider trading involving recipients of the federal money.

A separate audit—by the Congressionally-created panel charged with overseeing the Treasury’s actions—divulged that the government actually paid collapsed mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac $240 million to help “administer” TARP. Think about it! These are the scandal-plagued mortgage companies that were seized by the government in 2008 getting millions more from taxpayers to “administer” yet another fraud-infested federal program.

This week the Special Inspector General for TARP revealed that the monstrous bailout program’s losses stand at about $60 billion and that financial institutions owe Uncle Sam a whopping $118.5 billion. Furthermore, hundreds of small banks can’t afford to repay the federal bailout loans so taxpayers will get stuck with the exorbitant tab, according to the TARP inspector general. Just last month the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimated that TARP would lose $32 billion.

TARP’s IG disclosed the latest figures to Congress in a 330-page report that outlines the bailout’s monumental failures. “It is a widely held misconception that TARP will make a profit,” the IG writes in the report. It goes on to say: “While TARP and other government responses to the financial crisis may have prevented the immediate collapse of our financial and auto manufacturing industries, and improved stability since 2008, the trade-off is not without profound long-term consequences.” A significant legacy of TARP is increased moral hazard and potentially disastrous consequences associated with institutions deemed ‘too big to fail.”’

Judicial Watch has been a frontrunner in investigating the administration’s handling of the nation’s financial crisis and has sued the U.S. Treasury Department to obtain records related to evaluation procedures used by the government to determine which financial institutions get TARP funds. As a result of the ongoing probe, JW obtained documents involving a controversial $12 million bailout grant provided to an unqualified Boston bank at the behest of California Congresswoman Maxine Waters and Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank.

Fox News’ Martha McCallum advised Thursday that the Obama Administration has been quietly sending missives to the Supreme Court threatening that if it doesn’t rule in his favor on ObamaCare, Medicare will face disruption and “chaos.” Therefore, if SCOTUS rules in favor of the US Constitution, Obama & Co will begin its campaign to either destroy Medicare or make those on it suffer greatly. The Obama syndicate is said to be threatening to hold off Medicare payments to doctors and hospitals if SCOTUS does not comply with Obama’s demands and submit to him.

As an additional example of Obama’s illegal and (I believe) highly treasonous behaviors, on 1 May and 2 May Obama issued two additional unconstitutional and illegal Executive Orders. The first E.O., issued 1 May 2012, makes the USA subject to “international regulations” as opposed to looking to and following the US Constitution. Also, with this new E.O., the US FDA will now be able to be bypassed by International committees—thus, replacing the FDA with any international group which may be chosen. In essence, Obama is quickly eliminating US Sovereignty and selling the USA to the international “community.”

The second E.O. issued in 2 days was signed by Obama on 2 May 2012. This E.O. instructs the USA to bow to international regulations instead of the US Constitution and Businessweek reports: “Obama’s order provides a framework to organize scattered efforts to promote international regulatory cooperation, the chamber’s top global regulatory official said today.

“Today’s executive order marks a paradigm shift for U.S. regulators by directing them to take the international implications of their work into account in a consistent and comprehensive way,” Sean Heather, vice president of the chamber’s Center for Global Regulatory Cooperation, said in an e-mailed statement.” This also brings the USA closer to becoming a “North American Union” and—also—eliminating its sovereignty —in toto.

Suffice it to say, no one in Congress has issued even the proverbial “peep” over either of these illegal “orders.” Do the American people really want to continue to live under this blatant tyranny?

The second question is “Will the Supreme Court of the United States of America bow to Obama and give up its co-equal status to the dictator as the US Congress has already done?” If so, perhaps its time for We-the-People to recruit the Honduran Supreme Court who, along with their military, ousted its then President Manuel Zelaya who had become a dictator. Oppression under the Obama syndicate becomes worse each and every day, folks. Will we ever choose to go back to the sunshine?

“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?”—Revelation 13:4
